shaq out indefinitely

there is no way in hell the celtics are going to get anything from him this year. its always something:(:(

i hope your right. but I've grown tired of hoping when hes concerned.

The Celtics are screwed... Who's gonna play center now, Jermaine 'I'm-made-of-glass' O'Neal? LOL. *facepalms*

Stick a fork in them.

Well that sucks..but i still have faith..i am still not afraid of Miami..Chicago i am

Not sure why you're not afraid of Miami. Without that presence in the paint, they b!tchslapped Boston up and down the court in their last meeting.

This is the epitome of an overreaction to a single result dismissing the entire body of work. Rather disappointing that you'd be as shallow to make a comment as such.

without shaq the celtics wont get out of the second round. anything less than banner 18 is a complete bust.

Because Miami has no real big men. Dampier and Z do not scare me at all..everyone else in the east have big men

Boozer and Noah would give us a hard time

At the time I posted that, I had thought Shaq would be out of the series. With that in mind, I addressed his comment that the Heat don't "scare" him. What I asked was a logical question. Why wouldn't he be leery of the Heat considering what happened not that long ago vs. what I thought at the time was the same team? Also, dismissing the whole body of work? Let's go to the review...

Maybe I'm not understanding your point, but the Big 3 (Allen, Pierce, and Garnett) all had good games yesterday. It was your bench not showing up and the complete lack of anything tangible at the center position to stop the likes of LeBron and D-Wade that cost the Celtics the game.

Even though I've been in so many heated arguments around here regarding the Heat and the Celtics, I'm not going to rub it in. In the end, it's only one win over a team that had three over the Heat before. Instead, I'll just say good luck the rest of the way and, hopefully, our two teams meet up in the playoffs.

That doesn't exactly look like I'm dismissing the entire body of work. I believe I made that post two weeks ago. Not sure, though. I closed the window and don't feel like finding it again. Oh well.

Back to the last game though. Let's not sit here and pretend like that was a spirited contest. That wasn't pretty for the Celtics. The end result was a score to the tune of 100-77. Now, I'm no expert here, but I believe that a result like that could realistically be called a "b!tchslapping". So, in further review of my post, I'm not really sure what the beef is. The question is logical considering what we knew at the time. Perhaps you just found the language offensive?

As compared to the Celtics? I'm not trying to be a **** when I say this or anything, but the Celtics have Jermaine O'Neal, Big Baby, and an oft-injured Shaq. On top of that, as I said before, the Heat are one of the best teams in the league of getting to the hoop as a team. LeBron and D-Wade both had 10+ rebounds tonight, for example.

Kontra, if you can't work it out yourself there's no point addressing it further. Let's hope the series eventuates and we can see what happens.

I did work it out myself. I applied some critical thinking skills to try to break down the post and question, and I didn't see a problem with it. If you can address my last post a little bit better, perhaps I can see things from your point of view.

I do believe we ***** slapped the Heat 3 times.
