The Pats have 4 second-day picks. A lot of the experts think they'll wind up, at least temporarily, with at least 5, after trading down from #28. #33 may be traded down as well.

So who do you like?

Watkins is an obvious one, if Banks is wrong about how high he goes.
Ingram is obvious if he falls far enough.

Who else?

They have two of them don't they? 3rd round picks have been moved to day 3 unless the format changed again.

Alabama LT, James Carpenter, Florida OG/OT Marcus Gilbert, Miami CB, Brandon Harris, Miami DL, Allen Bailey.

Watkins turns 27 this year. With a missing or limited offseason, his rookie year would be compromised. Hard to see them bringing in a guy that may be forced into a "redshirt" season and will be 30 at the end of his rookie contract.

If Ingram "falls far enough", it will be due to a medical issue. If his knee isn't clean and given the alternatives in this draft, Ingram would have to fall pretty far to get the Pats interest.

My choices:
OLB Jabaal Sheard - Get him on day 2, focus on lines in 1st round
RB Ryan Williams - Injuries/coaches prevented him from showcasing skills in 2010
OG Clint Boling - Ideal fit for Pats scheme. Must get.
S Deunta Williams - Perfect storm of misery last year, but 1st round production in 2007-2009

Nope. Day 1 is Round 1, and Day 2 is the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

<-------------------- This guy

Although Hunter is my binky, I would expect Vereen (who I also like a lot) to be the pick if the Pats take a RB.

In no particular order:

Leonard Hankerson
Clint Boling
Curtis Brown
Sam Acho
Jarvis Jenkins
Terrell McClain

Most of the rest fall under "the usual suspects"...

Durn fine list ya got thar.

Ok, nice. I wonder how much the lockout will dampen Draft day ratings? How many people will be so turned off that they don't watch the draft? Hmm.

Thanks Mr. Maine. I have been studying real hard.

My problem is that some of my Day 3 Binkies keep climbing as we near the draft. It is a no brainer to say that Martin Parker, and Bruce Miller, for instance, would be great 6th round picks. Now that some have them seem to be climbing to the 4th-5th area, it is back to my basment to see what value they truly have... I blame it on this dang info super-highway. Damn you Al Gore!

My darling trio for day 2:

Allen Bailey
Danny Watkins
Delone Carter

Well I dont think anyone on day 1 would be considered a binky right? My favorite this year is Bruce Carter of NC. He is getting alot of pub on the network lately, hope he slips to the bottom of round 2 and that BB drafts a guy on value over fit just this once,LOL. Hey, we got my Binky Cunningham last year and I did pretty well in that draft game! Channelling BB~~~

I looked it up, and the split is 1, 2-3, 4-7. From memory I thought it might be 1, 3-4, and 5-7, but I guess my memory was wrong.

Your idea of 1, 2, 3-7 doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Glad you cleared that up. For day 2 (Rounds 2 & 3) I’d like to see:

Round 2:
Cam Heyward - DE
Aaron Williams or Brandon Harris - DB
Marcus Cannon or Ben Ijalana - OL

Round 3:
James Carpenter - OL
DeMarco Murray - RB
Jarvis Jenkins or Kenrick Ellis or Lawrence Guy -DL
K.J. Wright - OLB
Curtis Brown - DB
:rocker:

This thread is for day two. He's not going day 2.

I really like Watkins and Bailey in round two.

I meant day two which is now day three.

For 2nd round choices I'd love to get Brooks Reed if he's not snatched up in round one.

Neither does a draft without a second round. ;)

Jah Reid at #92 if NE doesn't go OT in round one.
