any1 think wilson will play this week? hes been out awhile now..

I can't even remember the last time he played. Was it the Buffalo game?

I think that Wilson, when he comes back, will be moved to cornerback opposite Asante.

I think that the injuries Wilson has sustained have made him somewhat gunshy to play safety.

Honestly, I think Samuel would make a better free safety than Wilson.

No..I tend to think he'll be out again..

I don't think that he will be out there for another week or so.

Reiss said that today was the first time he was out on the field, and didnt look to be doing much.

I say sit him this week and rest him up.

We will need him more over the next few weeks and the playoffs..

The last time he played was in the buffalo game and he reinjured it when macgahee broke that long run which was a shovel pass from losman and he saved a td.

I think they should rest him for a few more weeks to get completely healthy

Correct. That is 1 of the 4 games he's been in this year (BUF, NYJ, DEN, BUF)

We've played decent enough in the secondary but adding Wilson back in would only help us out. And how on earth do you think Samuel would make a better safety? than Wilson???

I hope he doesn't come back to the starting lineup. His last game was against Denver. Since then the Pats D has settled down.

When he was the FS, he gave up a too many deep plays, primarily because he couldn't tackle or took a bad angle to the ballcarrier.

Artrell Hawkins has done a terrific job at FS.

Wilson also had a bad year in 2005. He seems to have hit a wall. I say, use Wilson as a gunner for now, until he gets his act together.

And this is based on WHAT exactly? Did he say that? Was he quoted on this? Are there rumblings about it? Do we want a starting CB to be a guy who's "gunshy" about the extra contact one sees at safety? This seems kind of baseless. Do you have a source or just a feeling?

By the way, DaBruinz, I do think it would be GOOD if Geno played CB. Sticking him there across from Asante, with Hobbs as the nickel, and leaving Hawkins, Sanders at the safeties would be my preference.

If you remember Geno was playing some CB this year before he got hurt and wasnt doing to well. Maybe he was out of practice or just wasnt really used to it as much but still if anything he should become the nickel and Hobbs stays the CB.

I'm confused. I've been here all along with maybe a slight absense when the server went kaput.

His last game was week 7 when he tweeked it chasing down macgahee.

3rd and 14 at BUF 27 (5:03) (Shotgun) J.Losman pass short right to W.McGahee to NE 17 for 56 yards (E.Wilson). Shovel pass, caught at

I think the linebackers settled down after the first few weeks and they stopped giving up the big play, which you have to blame rodney, asante, and hobbs for.

they need wilson back for depth and eventually a starter. sanders has played well but i'd rather have wilson and harrison.

There is a bad case of NEMitis making the rounds amongst the more susceptible. Some believe Wilson had bad games to start the season, having looked at tape I disagree, but you know how NEMitis works on cognitive and visualization processes.

Geno has five games to be worked back into the active roster before the posteason. No rush to bring him back against the Lions, Andrews can fill in okay, or maybe LeKevin Smith could take some reps at FS in this game.

um his last game was Buffalo game 2..i remember because he didnt quit on the play and chased down Willis McGahee on the 60 yards shovel pass

if u remember in Denver..Sanders was in and he missed the tackle and that was the play Javon scored on

Homie don't like bruthas dissin' his namesake.

I don't see BB rushing Wilson or anyone else back for tomorrow's game. It's the 'Get ready for the playoffs' season. And yes, we all know BB takes it one game at a time but that does not preclude taking a longer strategic view in December.

When did I say that Wilson has had a bad game??? NEVER. You have a real NEM problem that you cant post anything without making a mention of my name, and most of the time you put words into my mouth that were never said.

And, quite frankly, I am getting fed up with your constant reference to me. You really have a problem. I would suggest getting some help as soon as possible from a professional. Please, dont go anywhere near glass windows or any item that can easily be damaged.....

And, if things work out for you after you seek professional help, be sure to call on me for adivce on any subject that you are having a problem with, like football for example. Have a nice day and take two aspirins and call me in the morning. :D

BTW, Have you joined the worldwide NEM Fan Club yet, or shopped at your nearest NEM Outlet store?
I rest my case about cognitive ability.

No question I have a real NEM problem, it started with your consistent boorish behavior and rolled right alone with your untreatable football dementia.

Go McDaniels! Go Pats! Just don't track any NEM on the carpets.

How do I think that Samuel would make a better Free Safety than Wilson? That's easy. Samuel likes to lay the wood and many have mentioned he is better in the slot than out on the edge. Yes, he's had some good games, but over-all, I don't see him as anything more than a #2/#3 CB. He's definitely not in the Ty Law or Patrick Surtain category of Cornerback.

Wilson has been somewhat fragile back at free safety and, as I said, seems to have become somewhat gunshy. We need a free safety who isn't afraid to hit people. And Samuel isn't.

Maybe if Wilson comes back and shows that he isn't gunshy anymore, I will change my opinion, but not until then.

When someone says "I THINK" that usually means it is one's opinion. It is my opinion that Wilson looks gunshy. He certainly isn't hitting players the way he did in 2003 and 2004. And Wilson isn't tackling the way he did in 2003 and 2004. He's more just trying to knock players off-balance and hoping they fall down.
