Rex's lastest move to tweak the Patriots, if it happens theres a grat potential for a Moss meltdown in Jets land. Jabba the Gut thinks he can control Moss, so didn't eveyone else. Also it seems Moss really wants to me back to the pats. Dont' know if this is old news or not.

Jets have definite interest in Moss - Extra Points - Boston.com

In the past day two well-respected NFL writers, Mike Freeman of cbssports.com and Vic Carrucci of nfl.com, wrote the Jets have definite interest in Moss.

According to multiple league insiders, the interest the Jets have in Moss is twofold. One, it could help them weather the very real possibility of losing at least one of their three free-agent receivers: Holmes, Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith. Two, it would keep Moss from returning to the Patriots, whom he is known to want to re-join.

If Moss goes to the jets i will burn his $250 jersey..i am not kidding

Good for the Jets and I'll rearrange my care factor to 0.1 from 0.0.

Well if the jests are the only team to make him an offer of course he'll sign with them.

Oakland Raiders East?

"Just whine, baby!"

outside of NE, moss was an unmotivated douchebag who took several plays off

pats fans should be all in favor of him going to the jets and causing chaos and ripping apart team chemistry there

Fine by me, i'll take Holmes as our #1 or Edwards as our deep threat or even Smith as a 3rd or 4th option.

The McCourty Peninsula will be shutting Randy down.

Why would the Jets go after Moss ? They'd be far better off going after their own receivers. But if they want Moss they can have him. It's not like he torched us the last time he played us.

If Moss can make one of the greatest QBs of all time in Brady make stupid decisions by trying to force the ball to him, what would it do to a guy like Sanchez who is already prone to make stupid mistakes without Moss. I think Sanchez could lead the league in INTs next year if he is throwing to Moss and Schottenheimer and Ryan don't reel him in.

On a side note, I wonder if this has to do with Santonio Holmes' recent comments that if he is RFA this season, he won't sign the one year tender. He has also said he wants to be paid with a long term deal whether it is with the Jets or not.

The fact that Ryan didn't know anything about Moss's contract situation tells me this isn't a serious story. "Is it tampering?" Duh, in other words, you haven't given Moss a thought.

Rex being Rex. I don't buy it for a second.

Me neither. All things considered, especially Randy's own comments, I don't think he'd even accept an offer from the Jets. I could be wrong, but I just don't see this as happening.

Lets hope he does go to the Jets

One less WR to have to worry about when we play them

One touch and push off by our corners on Randy at the LOS and off he goes into irreleventville

I am surprised there is no respect for Randy......I am not fully convinced we should go after him but the thought of him in our division scares me. I have to think that he has something left in the tank and he just packed it in last year and being on a division rival of the team that jetisoned him and started the downward trend (potentially his thinking) and that wont take him back could motivate him. Or he signs his last contract and tanks it like last year but you all should be scared of the first posibility.

Yeah, the Randy hate is weird.

I think he just packed it in last year after being banished from Foxboro. He simply didn't care. Who's to say he won't care next year (or whenever it is the NFL plays again)?

Last year we all said LT is washed up and laughed at the Jets grabing him and letting Jones walk and while it still may have been the wrong move LT had a pretty good year. Great players find ways to squeez extra years out of their bodies and I am in no way writing off Randy.

He isnt on the top of my wish list but I would welcome him back here provided we knew we would get the attitude and effort of 07 Randy then I will take my chances with what is left in the tank. Who knows if he can assure anyone of that so I am skepticle of his being back here but would be worried about him on our rivals.

Banished? He shot his way out of town. What Randy has is buyers - or is that sellers? - remorse.

He was fun to have a round and I'll always remember 2007. That said, he made the offense play stupid and his skills have diminished. Thank you Randy, I wish you well in your future endeavors and I hope to never see you in a Pats uniform again.

Yeah, I will be curious to see if Moss shows any interest in playing with the Jets after the multiple glowing comments he made about the Pats after leaving New England. Would Moss go to a bad team with a question mark at quarterback rather than the Jets? Would he sign with the Jets if they are the only team to offer him a contract? Or would he either retire or hope for a call from another team later in the season?
