Lets face it guys, the only chance we have to keep the players we all come to love is if the salary cap goes up every year. The only way that can happen is if they grow the sport more outside of the US. We have to embrace this.
Having lived most of my life outside the usa i can tell you off the bat this will not work as americans are big.The meat we eat with all the protein rich diet makes everyone physically dominating.
At 6 3 , 212 lbs i was a monster in school for sheer size .I was alot into sports it was a rarity than a common thing.
Second, culturally here physical power is glorified and encouraged as one cane be effectively be very successfull in sports and be rich , not in other coutries where brain power and education is glorified hence it will be a one side game which means no intrest.

If football is anything like soccer in Mexico there won't be many stars coming north. By sheer size (talent pool) Mexico should be a powerhouse in soccer...and yet they are not. Unlike Brazil, Argentina and other countries who recruit talented kids from rich to poor.
Mexico soccer is rife with corruption and it's the rich kids who get to be on the choice teams at early ages. This is why they are a non-factor in soccer and the same will be true in Football. A talented Mexican kid would do well to find his way into the U.S. where all kids from rich to poor get an equal shot at utilizing their talents.
If the NFL were to get involved with football academies like baseball has in other countries I am sure we would see some good talent find it's way north...and with a great education to boot.

What an over-generalization! Brain power and education isn't glorified here? You should tell that to our 270 Nobel Prize winners, which is nearly 3X the amount of the country with the second most winners.
And you should go talk to David Beckham and Michael Schumacher about not being rich from sports outside the US.
So, what does that mean anymore? The CFL a few years back had teams in the U.S. Before the Browns moved to Baltimore and called themselves the Ravens, they were one of the cities to have a CFL team. San Antonio was another one if correct. The CFL stands for the Canadian Football League. Hell, I think Toronto would make for a good NFL city. They supported their Blue Jays, and the Raptors. Plus, I would like to see a team in Jamaica and a team in Hawaii. That way, you can have Super Bowls played in those areas.
If you live in a city that gets the "s" word in the winter, and going to the Super Bowl in those areas sound nice.
Well said, cat. Rugby is football without forward passes or pads. Ambulences at every game (match?). Plus, the Scots have that Ba' if rugby isnt enough. That is just nuts. Dragging a bag (think: head) around town until it hits a wall or bay. No rules, time-outs, boundries. Nothin. Guys wearing shark fishing metal boots filed down to drive into each other. Now thats a sport!
