Blow another 4th qtr lead once again. They are god awful at rebounding..it seems every other team out there just rebounds the ball compared to the C's. I don't see them going far if they don't get #1 seed. Now they are 3 back and have a good chance at finishing behind both Bulls and Heat

That Perkins trade was one of the few boneheaded moves that Ainge ever made, IMO. The Celts now have to rely on Shaq's health (which hasn't exactly been stellar over the last few seasons) and are having to use Big Baby too much in the low post. Personally, I'm of the opinion that Boston will try to pull the trigger on some sort of trade for Kevin Love going into next season. They really need reliable and youthful bodies at the big man positions.

I thought it was a horrible trade when it happened, granted you have to look at the future but not at the expense of ruining the chance to win a title. Before the trade the Celtics were considered the front runner for the championship, thats what you play for. Its hard to get to taht position and to dismantal team that has a great chnce of winning it all so you May have a chance in the future is crazy.

From a GM stand point This Could turn out to be one of the all time blunders in sports. If the Celts don't win this year and fail to win in the next couple of years would be an epic failure.

Thats why ange should have never done what he did. They had a great shot at going all the way, now it could be many years before the get a sniff of the title again. I rememeber reading that KG went off when he heard about the trade, i'm sure he wasn't the only one. These guys worked really hard in the off season to get revenge for last years game seven loss to the lakers, only to get the rug pulled out from under them by manegment. These guys know that they were at the end of the road.

Isn't Allen a free agent after this year?

I mean you have Rondo to build around which is great..and Kristic is a better offensive guy than Perkins..but no his D...can only hope they are saving all their energy for playoffs..they can't finish behind Miami however...Bulls i don't mind..but not the Heat

As good as Rondo can be I see to many deficiencies in his game. The Celtics look old and slow and turn on their intensity when they feel like it. Championship teams play with that intensity all the way through.

The age factor looks like it's really starting to bight the Celtics.

They did a great job tonight on rebounding after that horrible game at Atlanta. Shaq will be out for weeks or he may never come back..kristic comes back Tuesday..if they can get a consistent run in the last 6 games..i think they will be ok. Pierce was great tonight as well

Remember that the Celtics played sub-.500 basketball going down the stretch last year, only to streak all the way to the Finals. Sure, the Perkins trade is going to hurt (it has already), and yes... they have looked old. But plenty of former and current players have commented on how hard it is to keep up the intensity and confidence throughout the entire season. I sure as hell wouldn't count them out yet and wouldn't be shocked if they took back the two seed on Sunday.

This year is more important to get the #1 seed which they won't get
