Depth of Talent Advantage Can Never Be Taken For Granted!!

As anyone can see, there's clearly room for improvement at no less than 21 of our roster spots ~ to say nothing of our Practice Squad gigs, or possible Roster Expansion as part of the new CBA!! ~ and I think we can all agree that those randomly chosen "Top 32" aren't exactly etched in stone, either, ARE they??

My point ~ and I have no pretensions of persuading anyone of my views, but merely getting it on the record ~ is that Trading Down remains a VERY viable option, and it's one I'd like to see us pursue, to compound our advantage, provided we take care of what we need.

We Have a Rare + Extraordinary Opportunity Right Under Our Noses!!

The Mad Croatian has carefully forged an increasing advantage ~ exponentially increasing!! ~ on the rest of the league...Yet many would have us CASH IN that advantage, rather than increase it.

MIND you: I can understand that thinking: those of you who feel we should more or less go ALL IN with our Picks, and Trade Up for an Hall of Famer or three, are generally focused on General Tom's advancing years...And I certainly sympathize and respect that position.

But THAT, to me, is the equivalent of running down the hill...and @#$%&ing ONE cow.

...ONE Super Bowl CHAMPIONSHIP.

I say...

I say...Let's KEEP Trading Down...and Trading BACK.

ONE COW???

General Tom Brady has said he wants to play TEN more years ~ 9 to go ~ and if a degenerate slob like Brett Favre can play to the age of 42 ~ Tom's age 9 years from now ~ who's to say that a dedicated FANATIC like General Tom Brady CAN'T??

I say...Let's KEEP Trading Down...and Trading BACK.

I say...Let's WALK down that hill...and @#$& them ALL!!

***

Many of you think we have a chance to win one more Championship with Brady.

I respectfully disagree.

I believe we have a chance to win a BUCKET of Championships in the next few years.

Goes against your general thinking of constantly salivating about JJ Watt, no?

You're making an assumption that guys like Darius Butler, TBC, Wendell, Deaderick, Mike Wright, Paige, Kyle Love, Pryor, and Willhite are all going to get beat our by rookies. Given the quality of this draft (or lack thereof), I have serious doubts that anybody chosen after then 90th pick will be able to beat out more than 1 of those guys.

On top of that, you are underestimating the value of having veterans like Crumpler, Stroud, Morris, and Branch in the locker room. I say, let's get a couple more guys like that in here and limit the # of draft picks in a bad draft class.

Not in the SLIGHTEST.

What in God's name are you talking about??

I said trade down "provided we take care of what we need."

That's a quote, my friend.

I didn't come within 100 Trillion MILES of that assumption.

The only assumption was YOURS, my friend.

This would all go a lot smoother if you fellows didn't spin stuff out of thin air. ;)

Allow me to clarify, in the ~ perhaps forlorn ~ hope of forestalling any further attempts to fabricate my position...

I merely point out that there is plenty of "room for improvement" on our roster, as denoted by the term "room for improvement."

I by no means "assume" that ANY of our incumbents will be beat out of their jobs, despite that notion being irresponsibly ascribed to me.

I merely ~ and clearly ~ suggest that there is a LOT of ~ how you say?? ~ room for improvement.

No more.

Okay, apologies then. My mistake. I thought you were advocating trading down to get better value, while still getting our coveted DE in Wilkerson or Heyward--which has become a very popular belief lately. Especially for those of us who have a feeling that Belichick isn't as enamored as we are with the possibilities at 17--Tom Condon or not.

I suppose that only time will tell, but I am expecting a trade down, or the possibility of OL/RB. I believe we will get our DE later on, and it's just my opinion that it'll be Wilkerson or Heyward.

What do I base that on, you ask? The law of averages, and a hunch that BB isn't quite as 'fan crazy' about some of the popular prospects as we are. After choosing 11 of the past 12 early picks on defense, I think we'll go offense this time. (dating back to 2007--2011, 11 of past 12 earliest picks have been defensive selections, w/ the exception of Gronk last year, which was still followed by Cunningham and Spikes)

No disrespect intended, just stating a stupid hunch, that's all.
