So fellow Celtics fans, what do we make of this time in it's current format? Blow out wins, blow out losses, amazing bench performances, not so amazing starter performances.

I really don't have a handle on this Celtics side right now.

they have never gotten over the Perkins trade mentally imo. Hopefully they pull it together down the stretch

The lack of intensity is what's irking me. They looking completely disinterested in this latest stretch of games. Couple that with Rondo's exceptionally poor play of late and injuries and I'm of the opinion that this team has some big issues right now. Their defensive game is completely overrated without Perk and I fear it may be something they cannot recover from.

Let's hope they can pull it together come playoffs.

Sounds like last year and that was even worse. I think that they have demonstrated this year that they are pretty much unbeatable when Shaq is there. I do believe that they do get bored during the Regular season and most of their loses are from back to backs which they do not have to contend with in the play-offs.

Well, here's my hopeful thinking

Last year the Celtics experience in the playoffs illustrated to them that, if healthy, they can win any 7 game series regardless of being home or away.

I'm thinking that the Celts are simply in pre-Playoff coast mode to rest up for the playoffs, knowing that in some games, the injuries on the team would require a huge effort for a relatively meaningless game.

So with seeding not a huge concern for this team, they're trying to rest up and heal nagging injuries rather than give it their all in these pre-playoff games. Yes they count - but less so to these older Celts who still muster full effort in the playoffs.

That's my hope anyway

Completely agree...Plus we haven't had the complete bench together until recently and still both of the O'neals are out and Wafer brings some energy so if the Celts are healthy going into the playoffs with all this depth, I can't see anyone really beating us....

I'm not convinced in the slightest. Chicago and the Lakers would almost certainly smash the Celtics if they keep this topsy turvy form up.

To much is going to be left to guys who have missed far to much of the season through injuries.

Lets hope they get their stuff together in the playoffs like they did last year.

Now 3 back...Look at the Lakers..16-1 after all-star break...i wish the Celtics came out on fire instead of laying an egg

They Celtics look really old at the moment. My current criticism is Big Baby is taking way to many shots and shots when we've got nobody around the rim.

Granted the morning arrival didn't help but the large stretches of no scoring is going to be rather problematic against very good sides in the playoffs given B2B's are big parts of the playoffs.

They look very old..besides Rondo, Davis and Green...the rest look old..i just hope they are saving it for the playoffs..but finishing 3rd in the conference after being 1st at all star break is horrible..that would mean no home court in second round...If they don't get 2nd or higher..they won't go far

Big game tonight vs Bulls...to win this would prove that they are still beasts in the east..to lose..well that would show that the Bulls are a for real #1 in the east
