We have found that damn deposed Nigerian royal family member that keeps bugging everybody in e-mail scams.

SS: Really? So you’re an actual prince.
PA: Yeah, in a sense. I’m part of a royal family. My grandfather was the king of the village. My dad was a first son, so his name is Prince also.

Just draft him and write "no e-mail" into the contract. Doesn't seem like a bad guy... I mean he's got a sense of humor, when not e-mailing...

SS: Are you a fan of Prince?

He was recruited to Nebraska as a RB but ended up playing corner. When asked if he felt duped by what happened, he said, "Yeah, manipulated, for sure." Later on, he talks about how he'd rather be a corner anyways, but still.

And he's Nigerian but didn't really know Christian Okoye, and had never seen him play.

On Suh, he says he follows him on Twitter, though Suh doesn't tweet anything extravagant, like this is important or something. Then he follows it by saying about his own Twitter, "My tweets are good, man. People should follow me. They’d love it. I’m very open. I like my followers to get to know me. I say good stuff."

When asked about the consensus that him and Peterson are the top corners, his response is, "What does consensus mean?" I kind of expected him to be a bit brighter after scoring a 35 on the Wonderlic.

Ouch!!

I'm predicting (right or wrong) that he's just one more talented college athlete that does not make a seriously dramatic impact on pro ball. He's lucky that the whole secondary drafting class is weak this year.

If his dad was the son of the king of the village in Nigeria, then Prince must be a 1st generation immigrant. If this is the case, then he grew up in a family that either spoke broken English or no English at all. Forgive him for not knowing what consensus means, I doubt he'll encounter that word when reading the opposing QB.

In the draft sub-forum, a few people pointed out the low Wonderlic scores of Ty Law and Asante Samuel, so I know it's not a necessity for a football player to be smart to succeed. But that, along with the Twitter remarks, along with not knowing about Okoye, which makes me think he doesn't watch a lot of football (further cemented later on in the interview when he says he hasn't watched Peterson play much), along with the comment about his coaches manipulating him all concern me a bit, and all in one interview.


And he was born in Glendale, AZ. So let's not make up silly excuses.

His not knowing the word 'consensus' has absolutely nothing to do with my thinking that he will be another over-hyped top 10 CB pick, as I did not relate the two together.

I made the statement of 'Ouch' in response to his not understanding of the basic word, although you make a good point that he may have spoken broken English so we should give him a break.

On top of that I said that I was 'predicting (right or wrong),' so I am not coming close to pretending that I am an expert on the matter. I watched Nebraska play this year, and did not come away particularly impressed. When you couple that with many of the reasons that convertedpatsfan gave, you can see why it's not exactly a clear cut 'consensus.'

A few things...

- AFAIK Amukumara is considered a well-respected, high-character guy.

- Take the 35 Wonderlic with a grain of salt. He reportedly scored dreadfully on an earlier test, then received some heavy coaching up...

- ...but who cares? He's a CB. Asante Samuel managed only a 10 on the Wonderlic.

- Kind of odd how folks here assume Amukamara's parents don't speak English. While Nigeria is a linguistically diverse country with many local languages and dialects, the official national language is English. There's a good chance his parents are native speakers.

- Even if they aren't...I was a little ticked off last year when Jean Pierre-Paul, who was born, raised and educated in the United States, tried to blame his academic ineligibility on the fact that his parents weren't native speakers of English. Where would this country be if that were a requirement for making it through school? My dad's widowed mother couldn't speak English to save her life, but all three of her kids ended up with PhDs.
