Anyone who is taking the Lions lightly is making a big mistake. They are a playoff tested team and coming off a big win.

But, no one is giving them any respect in spite of the fact that they just won the Grey Cup.

I hope that the Patriots aren't looking past them this week.

Oh ok those Lions scare me too. But the Detroit Lions scare me the most when you have to play them at home on Thanksgiving but on any given
game can't take anyone lightly this is the time of year where the spoilers
really come out and knock off the favorites.

They do apparently have a well-rated passing attack (but a lousy rushing one) so it is a little concerning. However, I believe the Pats already had their "looking past this team" moment against the Jets.

You guys crack me up with the Lions reference....good one...

I knew this wasn't going to be a serious thread.

You have GOT to be kidding me... if this is serious then. . . *cough*

Focus on stopping Roy Williams. That's about it.

You mean Detriot is not in Canada?

It should be.

They must be good. They draft the best receivers every year.:p

Kidding aside, while I'm confident they'll win, here's the one thing of which the Pats should beware: Keep in mind this is Mike Martz' Super Bowl. He's been slapped around so many times by BB that he's had this one circled on his calendar. Except him to pull a few tricks out of the hat.

even if mike martz drew up the greatest gameplan ever he'd still be hamstrung by his crappy players. let's assume he accounts for one TD all by himself; that makes the final score 31-7.

Judging from their game versus Miami, Detroit will be completely one dimensional on offense, which won't cut the mustard against us.

They'll probably make a couple of big plays, but even as a born pessimist this is the least worried I'll be about a Patriots game all season long.
