NFLPA says NO CHANCE for an 18 game season

Best idea would be for the league to keep the 16 game schedule and drop preseason games to 2 weeks...one week for the rookies to be the main attraction and one week for the vets to play 2 or 3 quarters.

These are professonal athletes and 90% of vets don't need 3 or more preseason games to get the rust off.

I say step up week 1 of the regular season to the last week in august as well.....enough waiting time for all of us fans :)

Never happen in this reality. Owners would lose all television, ticket, parking and concessions revenue from those missing 2 full price pre-season games.

We have a bingo! There is no way the owners will do away with any preseason games, unless they get to add extra regular season games. Anyone who thinks this is a possibility is wrong.

This is obviously not correct. It's mere propoganda put out by the NFLPA. Roger Goodell (The Pious) has made it abundantly clear that this is about what the fans want. Surely, if the fans want 16 regular season games and just 2 preseason games, that's what will happen. Heck, we'll probably see massive price cuts to those preseason games, as well, if that's what the fans want.
