From Adam Schefter:

Reports are true -- it's a blast from the past. One hour ago, former Giants RB Tiki Barber filed papers to come out of retirement.

Seems a little strange! I'm guessing he would be a FA?

He retired in 2006, that's a long time out of football!

Merge please Mods!

I just posted it also. As per Mike Francessa Giants still own his rights.

Media career in the tan? Check
Baby-Mamma woes? Check
Gonna need money? Check

Welcome Back, Tiki. I'm sure it's all about the love of the game. ;)

Either really bored or has a family who need to be fed ;)

$100 he joins the redskins. Snyder will take anyone who was a superstar. and also as an FU to the giants.

Could he be any good? Lol. He's 35 but made the probowl his last season...

He probabaly needs the money with his pending divorce and prego baby momma. Dude is a total loser.

There's no WAY he's going back there. I doubt he's worth anything on the open market. I'd have to think Giants will have to cut him. His guarantee would be gone I would assume when he retired.

Talk about random.

I wouldn't argue with you about where he'll end up, since I don't think the Giants will want him back. I was just passing on what's been reported about his rights.

Aren't the Yankees trying to sign all the best players from the mid-00s? He'd be perfect there.

Wrong sport you say? Bah!

Just hope The Tikman doesn't fumble his last opportunity

I forgot, was it a RB who wanted to come out of retirement in his 50s? I feel stupid because I remember it was a name I should easily recall...
