I feel bad for Randy Moss

Maybe it's only because I'm maybe (definitely) hammered, but thinking about Randy Moss makes me feel sad. He put in a startling effort, set records, infuriated fans, caught what should have been a game-winning SB TD, worked hard for a green QB (MC), took plays off now and then, let his inner douche get the better of him, busted his butt, and it was all for naught.

The guy seemed to REALLY want to win, and he never won it all. He cared about the Pats and TFB and BB. I loved him, personally-speaking. Thinking about how the man *****ed his way out of town makes me want to cry. I wish there was a way he could win it all. Hell, I wish he could come back as a 4th string CB and get a ring in 2011 or 2012.

I just feel bad for the guy. He worked hard, did the amazing, and was hated for it due to perception and his own weaknesses.

I think he is the most underappreciated Patriot ever.

He deserved to be in the Pats HOF, and instead he's a joke.

I hope he is happy.

A few aspirin and water before bed Cousin. That Manischewitz will K.O. you. Seriously I think you have a point. I hope you meant come back as the #4 WR, not CB. I loved the SB years, but the most fun I had watching the Pats was 2007. Moss made that year for them. He got underneath the skin of some mediots here like that moron Felger (at least I know I am qualified to get a job as a sports writer or radio personality if that nut-case can get a job). He has the mustard out as we speak eating his words on not needing Moss on this Team last year. The correct move was Branch and keeping Moss.

I can't see why he should not make the Pats Hall of Fame, besides Canton. I do not understand the hate for him in this town whatsoever. He spoke with his heart on his sleeve sometime and he was an easy target for the media. They laughed at him, but this guy was a Team leader and respected by his peers.

He was in Viking land a week and he knew Col. Klink had to go. If his worst sin there was making fun of a after practice meal, let the first guy on this site that never had his foot in his mouth eat the foul potato salad.

In a way, yes. But basically he blew it up when he sensed it would not be bliss. That is his weakness, I guess. The guys seems to mean well but just can't help but **** things up. I've been there.

I too really liked Randy Moss. And, I think it was because of the things that people call flaws that I liked him so much, aside from his obvious talent. He put himself out there. You could see his vulnerabilities. He was incredibly bright and sensitive, probably/maybe too sensitive for the media spotlight. I hope the corrupt HOF voters can see past his "issues" to put him into Canton, where he clearly belongs.



As for that ring he never got. I don't blame Carey; it was a judgment call and Eli never stopped moving--Carey decided to "let 'em play" at the most important moment of the most important game and, as a fan, I just can't fault that as much as it hurts. I don't blame Asante (for this! ); in real time that "missed" INT was a bang-bang moment and it would have been a great pick had he made it.

I do blame calling Cover Zero and leaving Hobbes alone on Plaxico. If you're gonna throw the goddam, mother ******* kitchen sink at a guy like Manning under those circumstances and with those stakes, well you have to get to him because he's going to make a play if you don't; the risk was too high.

He was a help in getting Cassel to feel confident in carrying the team on his shoulders in 2008

He started his old whining crap and taking plays off when he wanted to early in 2009 and it continued into 2010 when Belichick decided to trade his ass since the old whining Randy and his ego were back

It was no longer about team as Randy's time here grew longer,it was all about HIM and what he can get in terms of overinflated money for an aged WR who simply does not have it anymore.

We may never know the true reason why Randy got cut right in the middle of the season but I would bet he was becoming the 2010 version of AD and most likely a disruption in a locker room which already was lacking standout leaders.

Randy will go down as one of the best WRs in history but his time has come to retire.....just like Chad Johnson and T.O.,Randy no longer has IT and will only become more and more irrelevant as time goes on.

I really question whether Randy really loves the game of football anymore

We all remember how he stated on more than one occasion of how its a business more than a game.

What team in their right mind wants a player who is out there more for the money than for the love of the game?,you have to have love for BOTH or you are not giving it your all

Unfortunately I think a vast majority of players feel that way as well....if we had 1,000 Tedy Bruschis in the NFL things would be so much better.

Randy has mega millions in the bank,he has a stock car business as well as his smoothies franchise...Randy does not need money,it's time to retire gracefully and return to football but only to put on a jacket in Canton in a few years down the road.

My guess is that he's having a tough time coming to grips with aging and loss of his skills which was becoming evident here, and made a desaparate gamble to trick some team into giving him a big contract. I'd say it backfired on multiple levels.
