simply sick, smart wr, nice size, hands, etc..worth a gud luk n later rounds, but i c him goin in the fourth rd.........fav prospects sherrod, cam jordan, wilkerson, brandon harris, aaron williams, pouncey, wisn, watkins, boling, moffitt, costonzo, julio jones, jimmy smith, justin houston, aldon.........demarco murray worth a hard luk n the 2nd round, ahmad black as well

I like him. But he's basically a carbon copy of Welker, Edelman and Branch and how many of those guys do we need?

we could always trade welker for a 2nd, branch a 3rd or 4th and same for tate and edelman if we'd like but im cool with our current wrs as well but would like an aj green find sumwhere n da ruff...we have alot of options, we could trade light, kaczur, koppen, banta cain, meriweather, wilhite, butler, etc for wateva we want....:D

I edited the OP's thread title...that was a 6.42 cone time, not 4.42. Now THAT would have been something to see. :D

Maehl measures in a lot like Julian Edelman, actually.

yeah jumped out at me right away... i always look for who is winning in those agility drills then i have a look at he production. Funnily enough i think edelman looks nimbler but you can't sneeze at those numbers.

He seemed to be an alright receiver there for Oregon

I really don't like (or see the point) of trading one of our proven playmakers when we don't absolutely have to, in order to draft a guy we hope will be as good as the guy we just traded.

Our picks can go to areas where there's more need or question marks, or to help sweeten a trade up for a stud where we need it most.

He was a huge part of that blur offense and was really custom built for that scheme. I like his game. He adjusts to the ball well, has good agility (obviously), and anticipates it coming off of his breaks. He's going to be a nice find for someone working out of the slot. Patriots are deep as hell on the inside. They need help at the split end.

Dane Sanzenbacher ran a 6.46 3-cone to Maehl's 6.42; a 3.97 ss to Maehl's 3.94; both had 31.5" vertical jumps, Sanzebacher is .03 faster in the forty. The key difference is Sanzebacher knows how to run the route tree.

Jeff Maehl/Oregon – He caught the ball well showing strong hands. He showed a lack of burst, played off balance and ran poor routes.

Dan Sanzenbacher/Ohio State – He ran good routes. He practiced with good speed and caught the ball well.

The poor route running makes sense coming out of the blur. Those guys run like four routes in that entire scheme.

A lot of fast cone times this year. Check out D-II prospect Andre Holmes, who stands 6'4" 210 and posted a 6.69.

Not surprisingly, he totally dominated in college against the likes of St. Cloud State and Ohio Dominican.

GREAT find, Sistah Patricia!! :rocker:

It's well documented that I see little value in spending much Draft Capital on Wide Outs at this point...But A #46 Ranked Receiver, 6.4/210, who MASHES the Cones??? LOVE it!!! :rocker:

Aside from Edelman being about 2" shorter and I think about 5-10 lbs heavier, I do agree, although Maehl > Edelman on the SS drill (0.2 sec) and Edelman > Maehl on the VJ (3", I think).

I think they will draft Dontarious Moore out of Tennessee. Yes. He's good and kind of a sleeper.

It's Denarius, unless you think somehow the Pats can convince the NFL to let them draft Dontay Moch and Denarius Moore with one pick. ;)

Denarius Moore is a nice call!! He is big enough and very strong and tough, at 6.0/195, and he is a BLASTER ~ 4.45!!

He Blocks, he's Fluid, and he's got Lateral Velocity, though he is a bit raw.

Well done, sir.

Sanzenbacher was universally praised for his crisp route-running, consistent separation and clean catches in Senior Bowl practices. He went 5 for 5 in the game with catches of 23, 8, 16, 6 and 9 yards. If he can work the edges as well as the middle, he'd be more Branch than Welker.

If we're looking for a relatively tall possession guy who runs good routes, has reliable hands and puts up a good fight for every catch in coverage, Austin Pettis (6025/209) might be had in the 4th.
