literally anybody with an internet connection can create an article on bleacher report.

DeSean Jackson for Logan Mankins, the 17th overall pick, Brandon Tate and a fifth-round pick.

The trade he proposes is too much in my opinion. For the 60th pick, yea probably would be cool. I'd rather sign mankins though.

I would be hesitant to trade Mankins for Jackson straight up.

Hahahahahahahahaha no.

Not a Patriot type of player. Wouldn't give #17 alone for him. Never ever cite Bleacher Report again.

No no no no no no no no no no no! NO NO NO NO! NO! NO!

This offence has moved on from the field-stretcher, and we will not succeed with one. Those 50 touchdown's in 2007? Many were due to Randy Moss's unreal catching ability. DeSean doesn't really have that, he's just really fast.

Still with our two tight end, Branch/Welker recieving core. we already have tons of depth there. We're a building team. No need to go on a signing spree of star players in their prime like we did in 2007.

Jackson is the best deep threat in the game. He is also the best PR guy in the league. IMO he has more value than Mankins. 24 years old too. His "get-paid" attitude is a bit of a turn-off but the kid plays HARD and hurt.

If the Iggles want to go straight-up, that is fine but I would not include additional picks.

With Revis in the division I hope we come up with somebody who can stretch the field. DeSean isn't even on the radar but we need somebody who can put some fear in the defensive secondary or teams will play bump and run and clutter the middle just like the Jets did.

That logic doesn't make sense to me. The 2007 team went 18-1 and by all accounts lost the SB because of injuries (Neal, Faulk), bad defense with 2:30 to play and succumbed to one of the top 5 pass rushing teams in Super Bowl history that came in hotter than hot. Your rationale states that your don't want a deep threat because of that??

Rule #1 in the NFL. If you stay still, your opponents will catch up with you.

NFL Speculation: Could the Eagles and Pats Work Out a Trade for DeSean Jackson? | Bleacher Report

I would LOVE this trade. Except I would trade away #28, not #17.

And yes, I know this is a Philly fan's idea and not a legitimate rumor.

There is no way Bill gives up that much for DeSean Jackson (17th pick + Mankins + 5th round pick + Tate). Bill looks for value and to me it looks like the Eagles will be getting the value.

At most, I think Bill will trade Mankins + Tate but I can't seem the Patriots throwing in the 17th pick also.

He really is #1... a first class knucklehead. No way.

I'd rather spend our high picks on areas of more dire need such as pass rusher and OL youth.

I like Desean, have no problem giving up a first rounder for him, but do have a problem with what it will probably cost to keep him here long term.

dude is seriously on something...mankins, tate, first and 5th round picks for jackson? Fitz wouldn't even command that type of value.

We should probably throw in Woodhead or Gronkowski in good faith right? LMFAO!

#1 the eagels will not trade him #2 no way the pats give up that much and then have to pay him 11 million +

and the guy has not shown up the last two postseasons so what good is it if him and Brady set the NFL on fire and then come playoff time the pats are one and done cause they cant keep Brady on he's feet

Vick and Jackson made a damn good team last season. I don't see the Eagles breaking them up

I would rather trade mankins and #17 to move up and get Julio Jones.

Terry Glenn Part II. No thanks.
