The forum seems to be flying now and working great. Thank you for all the hard work.

Great job. Thank you Ian.

Good job, Ian.

IMO, Ian should run a fund drive just like BSMW.

Still running fairly slow this morning. Took upwards of 5 seconds to load the page. Upwards of 10 to load the forum page.

Well, it depends on how fast you fly ... ;)

Seriously, Miguel's right. Sometimes asking for money for something undermines the spirit and I fully understand if Ian wants to keep it as a pure hobby (then he's completely entitled to tell us to get lost if the server is down in the middle of a game but he has other things on his mind). On the other hand, I think that Miguel's own idea (see his sig) is a good one: encourage charitable donations in the name of the site.

Anyway, here's an idea of mine.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to hold a Patsfans.com tailgate/barbecue? I know that a lot of folks live around the Boston area and some would certainly like to meet up (having now met Miguel and Mrs B myself, I can recommend the experience). Perhaps that could be used to raise some money, either for the site or for a charity (the Ty Law in Need fund comes to mind :D ).

I was thinking that you could have such an event at Foxborough during training camp. Some people make a special trip to the area for camp and that might be an incentive for them to hook up.

Of course, this would take organizing and I'm NOT volunteering (I shall be back in good old Europe during August, anyway). What does anyone think?

Here here. Ian via this forum has really added to my Pats enjoyment/obsession. I'm in for any support over the next 5 weeks before I take off.

Ian- many thanks for all the hard work in keeping this forum up and running!

Thanks Ian, as you can see a lot of people keep coming back despite the problems lately because this is a unique site. I tried out another site but just didn't like it. So we like the product and keep coming back! ;)

Thanks, Ian. Must have been a basic problem you solved by putting your foot on someone's ass.:D

We're not out of the woods yet, but getting there. I'm still working on it but starting to at least see a potential end to these issues.

I've thought about organizing a get together, and I think it would be a lot of fun. I've got some friends who run other team sites and am trying to find out about some of the things that they've done to get some ideas. It would definitely be nice to kick back and have a beer with everyone. Hopefully we'll get a chance at some point :cool3:

my sentiments exactly. If it matters, I am hitting the site from N.S., great speed tonight....Thanks Ian, great work...

Its a great site, despite the few warts that tend to post here, otherewise , class site, with class fans, for a class team..

Great thread and very much needed at the current time..Thanks Ian for all your hard work, this site is top notch. As I have said previously there are many times when I overlook a lot of the other sites out there for my football news, the espn's or the nfl.coms.I have come to regard this site as my number one source for Patriots news and fun. Thanks again..

Thanks for your perseverance ,Ian.

Thanks Ian. We really enjoy the fruits of your intense labors and appreciate your dedication to the site. It was severe Pats withdrawal pain when the site was down. Thanks a million.

I hear that song "At last" playing in the background as I slow motion hug the forum. Thank you Ian, it was a long rocky road, but hopefully the smooth sailing part is upon you! You're the man.
