Aldon Smith's lack of experience scares the hell out of me. I'm pretty sure BB won't draft him. Doesn't mean he won't be a good player. Doesn't fit our profile. You know he doesn't want to miss with the pick he got back for Seymour. If Cam Jordan starts to slip like that. I'm trying like hell to move up to get him. I like your other guys. Just going by BPA at 17. I'd go with Nate Solder - T - Colorado. Him and Vollmer will protect Brady the rest of his career.

Would take Pouncey over Sherrod, other than that gjdm.

I'd say the Pats pass on this guy. What he says on this video at 1:44 screams no thanks to me.

you mean that there may be more than life than football?
lol wut?

That's your translation of what he said.

Good LORD, man.

His translation is pretty clearly accurate.

I WANT guys with Imagination, Vision, and Perspective on this team.

As far as I'm concerned, that's a point in his FAVOR.

Didn't the guy preface that by pointing at 30 Sacks??

I'd say he's focused enough. ;)

Predicted 30 got 6.

You want to hand a kid 15 million 20 million whatever it is with that type of attitude? Fine. Not me. Maybe I'm reading to much into his comments but it just seems a little off for me to consider him so high.

SOMEthing's a little bit "off", all right.

Based on your scenario,

Watt
Sherrod
Wilkerson
Hankerson

Then in round 3, add

John moffit....OG
KJ wright......OLB

You may want him but do the Patriots? We only get a peephole evaluation of these guys so it is hard to judge them and very hard to see how the Patriots ranks them. The video is a bit of a red flag but the Patriots factor in a lot of things...the most important thing being his on-field production. Some of the sacks in the video were junk sacks where the QB stepped out of the pocket and Smith got lucky.

Who knows?? All I'm saying is that it's pretty myopic to expect an intelligent man like Coach Bill to be turned off by a prospect having a well rounded perspective on the world...And, indeed, I would expect that to be a point in his FAVOR, with an intelligent man like Coach Bill: A broad view of the world does not impinge on focus and intensity, but in fact enhances it.
