Wasn't Green the guy that went to Seattle in the Ray Allen deal?

On a separate note I am getting confused with the Anthony Parker / Tony Parker rumors.

We also gave them Nate Robinson.

What the **** at this?

WTF...i dont get it?

Yep, it's Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson for Jeff Green and Nenand Krstic.

I suppose I can see the incentive to move Perkins because of his contract but I don't see how this helps the Celtics win a championship this year. That's not a knock on Green, I think he's a good player. I'm just seeing Shaq having to be relied on more than he can deliver at this stage of his career.

Is Belichick running the Celtics now?,thats an off the wall move

WOW!

I feel like the Nuggets fans did on their trade...hope I am wrong

Yikes, the Semih Erdin era has begun. A little strange considering they probably won't have the $ to sign Green next year, right? I know Perk wants a new contract too, but scoring swingmen like Green get big money deals in the NBA.

Do we think there's another depth move coming? Sign someone who is going to be bought out? Is that Rasheed Wallace's music I hear???

Another move..

Boston has traded Semih Erdan and Luke Harangody to Cleveland for a second-round pick

Either Rasheed is going to come back or we're gonna get Troy Murphy. I find it hard to believe we traded away our starting center, back up center and a powerforward for perimiter players/picks without another step to the process.

What the hell is going on? Are they throwing out 4 guards and KG?

according to a story at the globe, the Celts are getting the Clippers 1st round pick in the Perk deal

Marquise Daniels has been traded to Sacramento for cash.

That leaves three roster openings for the Celtics.

I usually wouldn't want to make a judgement so soon, but this sound like an Epic Failure to me. They were suppose to Add to the team not Subtract.

I am sure the Celtics realized they could not sign Perk in the offseason and did not want to see him walk for nothing.

Maybe now we screw the Defense First philosophy and to with Ray, Paul, and Jeff Green on the perimeter shooting 25 three pointers a game.

Doc once said the Celts starting 5 was undefeated when healthy.

Guess they'll remain that way. I see absolutely no reason why they would move Perk. He is the kryptonite to Dwight Howard and our best bet against LA.

All these moves are planning ahead - accumulating draft picks, getting guys about to be FAs and clearing salary space. This team can't afford to do that. Epic waste of a championship season by Danny unless he makes some moves to counter the depletion of our roster.

Adding Troy Murphy is an absolute must at this point.

This team now has 0 chance of winning another title any time soon. Ainge is a moron.

Lets just trade away our C who was our one HUGE advantage over the Heat and Magic.

Ugh..

Come on now...Perk missed 43 games this season - we beat some pretty good teams in that stretch. Who knows, maybe there are some health issues that made the Celtics pull the trigger on this. Ainge has done pretty well for us in the trade department thus far.

Careful, your knee might hit you in the head.
Ainge is still right behind BB in the GM position. The guy is one of the best judges of talent. How many years did the Celtics go without a championship? Did you post anything after the Celtics traded it's pick for Ray Allen? Do you think Danny doesn't have another shoe to drop? My guess is we will try and win a championship this year with whoever Danny brings in with buyouts. Then, go after Dwight Howard next year.
Oh, one more thing. How come no one talks about Jefferson anymore?

Well he hurt his knee in the finals last year, he was suppose to offset players like Bynam this year. Also i just read Erdan was traded.

Perhaps the C's are worried about Perk's knee?

If they think he is going to be hampered he may not help them. West is supposed to be back, Bradley is on the Portland team. They must think that The O'Neils will be back for the playoff's.

The Clipper pick could be the #7 and in the lottery?

What a shocker.....

Have to think another trade is in the works. Relying on both O'Neals to be healthy seems like a poor gamble, and even if Jermaine comes back, we wind up w/2 out of 3 centers who are fairly soft.

maybe the Clippers pick is being packaged somewhere?

I could understand the deals for the reasons stated, plus the fact that, if healthy, there could be too many guys for a playoff rotation -- again, though, it seems premature to be making that gamble.

13, what did you mean about Bradley / Portland? (West is back, though -- played versus Golden State)
