You know you are a hard core draft nik...

You care about the exact height weight of the players.

Is Aldon Smith 260 or 252? Is Ayers 6'4 or 6'23? Does Watt way 288 or 278?

The truth shall be revealed... within a few days we can scratch off a few more names from our master lists.

One of the weights I am curious about is Dontay Moch. He's being mentioned as a 3-4 OLB, but his listed weight is 229 ; (

That one was already done this offseason, at one of the offseason bowl games. That's unlike someone like Aldon Smith, who we have never gotten truly accurate measurements of.

Dontay Moch is 229? I don't know much about him but everyone claims he's incredibly fast, why not just lose weight and play safety? 230 is small for a 4-3 LB.

It's a possibility, however such things as lateral mobility, change of direction, play/route recognition ... will play a factor.

230's actually not too bad for a 43 will in the right scheme.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's excited to hear heights and weights lol. Those fractions are important! Like for instance, we'd prefer an OLB to be close to 6'4". Von Miller is listed 6'3". So you wonder is he really closer to 6'2" or 6'4"? Then he measures in at 6'2.5" at the Senior Bowl. :(

Watt's unofficial weight has been commonly listed at 292 since sometime during the season. His official Combine weight may tell us where he (or his agent) thinks he's best suited to play. If he comes in at 280 or less, maybe he's hoping more for a 4-3 gig. OTOH, if he comes in at 295+ . . .

I think the same thing applies to Jordan of Cal. What if he comes in at 279? Is he still a DE in a 3-4? What if he comes in at 295?

Why is Chris Carter of Fresno State being mentioned as a Patriots type player more and more over the past several weeks? Can't be just the Pat Hill connection can it?

A lot of players will be added and eliminated from the Patriots draft board based on the next 4 days.

Yeah, IDK. He measured 6011/245 at the Shrine Game. The notes I read indicated that he struggled painfully trying to transition from DE to standing up - didn't look at all comfortable, slow to read/react, not enough speed/burst to compensate for missteps, completely lost in coverage, not strong enough to hold up against the run. Even if he dazzles with his athleticism in Combine drills, he'd be a serious project, it sounds like.

On the plus side, that 6'2.5" (actually 2 5/8" but who's counting!) came with 34" arms. Not a bad wing span for clogging passing lanes and hand fighting blockers.

Yeah those arm lengths are important for our OLBs. I'm really interested to see what Aldon Smith measures in at.

Tyron Smith's rumored weight gain has been confirmed. He's 6'5" 307lbs with 37" arms. Great numbers. We'll have to see if he's still as quick with the new weight. Ijalana's arms came in at 36".

Let's not forget that Bruce Campbell came in with the best measurables for an OT in over a decade. He went in the 4th round. Some guys will be exposed in other ways.

NFP has a photo of Smith with the weigh-in notes. He looks chiseled. At 307#.

WHat I think is funny is how many people actually say "have him lose wieght and play X position instead". This is the pros, players either stay the same or gain weight as they age. The only guys losing wieght are the ones who have gained it prior, players are competing for jobs so they are supposed to be in the shape of their life at the combine. I'd say the only exception to be on the lines.

Anybody have any links to the complete, raw, official weigh-in results including hand/arm measurements?

By "official" I mean in the "60xx" format. So far, all I've seen are heights listed in the 6'x" format, indicating that the poster is "rounding" up or down - which past experience has shown can often be guided by the poster's agenda wrt a specific player.

I would not be suprised if he's the first OT off the board now since he took care of what teams thought they would have to do.......

Too early. Tick...tick...:)

Jordan already weighed in 287 at the Sr Bowl. He has absolutely nothing to gain by dropping weight.

Watt, on the other hand, has not really been measured. All we know is that he played TE 3 years ago as a freshman in the MAC, which I'm sure was closer to 220 lbs than 290.
