We have Baker, Mays and Pass playing ST's, with Spann on and off the roster each week. Troy Brown is our nickel back, and there are no dime backs (we just leave the linebackers in).

We could use someone back soon, and of course no more injuries.

DL: Seymour is playing hurt
Warren just recovered
LB: Seau is likely out until the Championship Game
CB: Hobbs is playing injured
Chad Scott is out
S: Harrison is out
Wilson is out
-----------
But, the bottom line is that we are in fine shape. We are leading the division by 2 games, and should win 3-5 of the rest of our games. Certainly, we will strongly favored in every game. We still have a reasonable shot at a bye.

We can win the Super Bowl with the team we have. IMHO, we will have a tougher time in the AFC playoffs unless we have a breakout of health. I wouldn't think that we would be favored to beat two of SD, Indy and Baltimore without defensive improvement.

I don't think Pass is back. Seau is out. If he broke both bones as it seems, he won't play football this year. Not like it's a crack.

Hobbs should be getting his cast off, though. Seymour's pretty damn beat up, but he'll play with one arm and a limp.

J. Green and Wright are worth more time and Sanders looked OK today, that's a bonus.

LBs and DBs are getting by on savvy. I'd love to pick up a couple warm bodies since we have some relatively easy games.

Hate to second guess, but what did we gain by letting Poteat go?

Hank Poteat makes Dwayne Starks look like Ty Law.

How badly beaten up are we at line-backer? Gee. We're really going to struggle now, especially against the run.

It's time to prove the old adage that the best defense is a good offense. The D has carried them through 11 weeks of fits and starts. It is beyond time for them to step up as a unit, consistently. If they do that we will be fine. If they can't or won't, it will be a real struggle come January.

This team seems to play better when they are the way they are, Hobbs did ok, but Seymour played the game he is capable of. I suspect a long questionable list this week, there was a lot of serious collisions during this game.

I am not sure who this team will find at this juncture of the season, otoh many of the other teams are beat up as well.

Pass is back....and that helped the ST...more worried about linebacker inside esp..who is the next backup?? Davis?? he had played insiede backup before..but..I don't know how strong he is against the run...Alexander?? Mays?? I think there are a few tough games left...Miami definitely...and Jacksonville or Tennessee may be as well..I think Poteat was cut when they needed O line help and WR..sometimes it's caused by injuries when you have to make choices...
