Either of those 2 opposite Chung (on that note, I prefer Atogwe) would drastically improve the Secondary.
I don't see it happening though.
Patricia will be given a year to work on Meriweather as a starter.
If we did go after either S, I think it would be Sanders seeing as how BB has seen his play first hand over the course of six or so years whereas Atogwe he's only faced once (2008). Plus, Sanders brings a mean SOB mentality that we could really use. And given our depth at S, we could rotate him enough to keep him fresh and off IR. Think about....Sanders and Sanders....:rocker:
Why was he cut? I don't remember him signing any incredible deal
brandon meriweather i think will make something like 2 million this year Oshiomogho Atogwe is going to get at lest 6 million on the open market IMO he's not worth 4 million more then meriweather and he will be 30 when the season starts meriweather just turned 27

Talk about two big name free agent safeties. Atogwe is really good too AND not made of glass though. If the pats got him though what to do with Meriweather...
Oh sweet baby Jesus, please, PLEASE make this happen! Sign Atogwe and ship the Bang Clock out while his stock is high.
Those of you who complain about bad angles from Meriweather, Sanders and Co. would become suicidal watching Atogwe for a full season.
lol I watch Atogwe, quite frequently actually, I don't know if you are just talking out of your ass, have something against Atogwe or what, but he is a great safety. If you watched him as much as you watch Meriweather then you might, just MIGHT have a valid argument but I highly doubt you do. He is a very underrated player.
All he does is cause turnovers. That's it. He takes ****ty angles on tackling.
BTW, Atogwe's only a turnover monster, takes ****ty angles on tackles. Guess this means Murphy goes to safety.
Heh, no. But he's strictly a turnover machine. And he didn't cause that many last year. Only had 3 INTs and 2 FFs.
I know that he played and contributed alot to the team this year but honestly he was also not the best against the run and big tight ends coming his way. If no one takes him and we resign him and safe some money then B.D's gamble pays off. We'll have to see how it pans out.
He needs to work on his tackling, because Barber broke his ankles on that run in the first drive of the Cowboys... and it wasn't the first time O.J. has taken the bad angle in a run play.
He takes AWFUL angles to the ball carrier and that is the #1 job of a safety, he is the last line of defense so he better be taking perfect angles to the ball.
Just because he takes "bad angles" at times doesn't mean he isn't good.
Atogwe is a turnover making machine, his slight lack of angles can be forgiven for the great stuff that he does do for this team.
I could counter every one of those quotes with positive views on him, but that would get us nowhere. I'm sure MANY of those posts came from fans that are angry that he was released, for the LONGEST time, all I heard about Atogwe was that he was a top 5 FS, now he is released and people's opinions change, its really not surprising.
If you watch the film, you will see that QB's don't throw at him. Bad QB's throw at him and it doesn't work, all I can say is watch the film. You will not be disappointed.
