The officials should be ashamed of themselves. they sucked big time.

That PI call on Hawk should have never been called or it should have been offensive PI. That hold call on Hobbs was bull****. And, how do you NOT call a personal foul when punches have been thrown?

I can say all this and not have it look like excuses or sour grapes because we won.:rocker:

I know blaming the refs is cliche but I agree with you. On both PI calls, Hobbs was going for the ball and the WR was hitting him. And then during the scrum on the field, no flags are thrown.

I'm sure the NFL will be looking at this officating crew.

What's the deal with calling nothing for the first half and all of the sudden start calling everything even if it wasn't there? They let both secondaries get away with murder for the longest time and then they call ticky-tack and phantom calls on game changing type plays. I was happy early that they let players play, but all of the sudden they started to call everything on the Pats.

The refs suck so badly! Seriously, its pitiful. I almost agree with Aikman, PI's should be reviewable even if they slow the game down. The booth should do a review if it is questionable. I dont care if it slows the game, the refs always screw up with these calls. And they are lucky the Pats managed to win, they ought to be fired, what a shame.

Even if one ref saw it that way, where were the others. I've done some officiating and if one guy got the call wrong we huddled and got it right.

That was a 45 yard penalty-don't just let it go without talking about it.

15 yard penalty should be the MOST any team can get off a pass interference. That or it should be reviewable. Any crappy QB can heave it and get a ****ty PI call to save the day.

I concur with everything here.... while I could see the Hobbs PI being called (even though I dont agree) the ones that made me the most p'd off were
1) not calling the one on Jackson
2) calling the one on Hawkins right after not calling the one with Jackson
3) the Hobbs holding or whatever it was
4) the scrum.... and I will be interested to see if the NFL fines whoever that was that came in and clearly brought a forearm to Evans when he was already down that started the whole thing.

That was my point in the other thread - if we're going to call ticky tack, call it both ways. The contact (and not looking back) on the CJack play warranted PI more than any call against a Pat today save for maybe Hobbs, and even that is debatable.

It gets worse EVERY year. Remember how the Pats lost the control they had on their last playoff game? A 100% bogus P.I. call that even the talking heads said absolutely should have been defensive P.I. or no call at all. I had several videos on YouTube showing just how bad the officiating is and the NFL had YouTube remove them. So instead of handling the officiating problem and hiring full time officials they're hiring people to scour YouTube looking for any NFL clips. Glad to see the NFL has its' priorities straight. :p

After seeing a replay late last night in which two (2) officials threw the flag on Hawks play, I'm even more pissed about it. If we would have lost the game I would be livid.

It's bad enough that one official made an awful call on tha play, but 2!!!!

It was Tillman who elbowed Evans and it was the dumb refs who didn't call it and should have..They s**ked pretty bad...I totally agree about how they let it all go int he first half and then all of a sudden called ticky tacky things..why wasn't Berrion called when he had his hand on Hawkin's shoulfer as he was making the grab?? They were pitiful.. I don't think a 15 yarder would be good..for if there is a player open you just deck him and it's only 15 instead of a TD..that doesn't make sense..Maybe two grades of PI?? OR reviewable if over 15 yards??? I agree woudl rather have it right..BUT?? If you have the same mentality calling it ticky tacky..then a review would could only agree with it...I think the rules must be more explicit so players nknow what they can and can not do..and I have seen it both ways.. But also they ened to do it consistently and they did not..Patriot receivers were interfered with and no calls made..THAt si what I didn't like at all..ticky tacky things called on one side..and NOT on the other..The refs basically agve them a TD with that long PI call..shameful!!!
