Did Tom Brady have the best 3 season (I am aware it's technically 4) stretch of all time? You saw him go 16-0, throw 50 TD's in 07 & now in 2010 he threw 36 more to just... 4 INTs! 4! So here's a list of great 3 season stretches by QB's, just to see how they compare to Brady 07-10.

Please vote if you think any of these other QB's seasons compare to Tom Brady's. I am gonna leave some names unanimous to surprise you once you know who they are.

Sorry for the post being a bit disorganized

I had a similar thread a while back.

It's a worthwhile subject IMO. Here's a look at the stats I compiled; pretty compelling:

Tom Brady (2007, 2009, 2010)
Yards: 12,905 / TDs: 112 / INTs: 25

Peyton Manning (2008-2010)
Yards: 12,938 / TDs: 108 / INTs: 45

Peyton Manning (2003-05)
Yards: 13,024 / TDs: 106 / INTs: 30

Drew Brees (2008-10)
Yards: 13,881 / TDs: 100 / INTs: 49

Brett Favre (1996-98)
Yards: 12,179 / TDs: 112 / INTs: 42

Dan Marino (1984-1986)
Yards: 13,967 / TDs: 122 / INTs: 61 (!)

And, yes, I know we'd all trade it all for at least one ring in that period, as Brady no doubt would. Of course the guy does have three rings on his resumé on top of these stats — and time to win some more.

EDIT: Nice job adding in team w-l for those stretches!

What Montana and Marino did was in an era where Bill Polian hadn't gone Deliverance on the integrity of the game. There was still defense back then and corners were still allowed to be physical. Brady's the best player in football, but statistically we're talking apples and oranges.

Re: Did Tom Brady had the best statistic 3 year run in NFL history?

You mention TBs 3 year being technically 4 which makes me wonder how well his four year run matches up against others 4 year runs despite missing the season.

I mean he had 114 TDs in those 4 years by comparison he only had 101 in the 4 years prior and 147 in all years combined except the last 4.

You're right, it's 93. Not sure where I got that; I was scribbling numbers on a piece of paper at work and probably got confused when my boss came in. (I doubt it was playoff TDs that account for the error; I'd be very surprised if PM threw 15 playoff TDs in a three-year span, Super Bowl run or not.)

Re: Did Tom Brady had the best statistic 3 year run in NFL history?

the big thing that jumps out is Brady's team had 40 wins and he had only 25 INT's thats pretty sick
