2011 Patriots Mock Draft 4.0 | NE Patriots Draft

One of my favorite mocks so far:

#17 Aldon Smith OLB
#28 Muhamad Wilkerson DE
#33 Derek Sherrod OT
#60 John Moffitt OG/C
#74 Clint Boling OG/OT
#92 Jeremy Beal OLB
Trade 4&5th into 3rd round - Ahmad Black S
Round 6 John Clay RB

I'd prefer a different running back to Clay, but otherwise, I'd be very pleased with this draft. Excellent effort.

This is beautiful

I like first two picks.:rocker: Not sure why Sherrod when Anthony Costanzo was available. Love Moffit pick.:singing:

Not sure 3 OL likely from Pats. Therefore, if they like Black so much why not take him in 3rd round? I think he is too small. If Beal drops to end of 3rd I'd take it.

Three OL are too many for the Pats. Swap one with a WR.

Any mock that gets Aldon and Wilkerson gets an A+ from me. Any mock that also gets Black plus three offensive linemen gets something better than an A+ :lol2:

Pretty good.......not sure moffit would be the best pick based on the other OL. Would be interesting to see who wells is available....use #60 with the 4th and 5th to move up to the top of rd 2 or the bottom of rd 1 to get Leshoure.

wow... thats the 1st time i have seen film on Aldon smith. Smith and Wilkerson? Sign me up. Pouncey at 33 would make that my ideal first 3 in the draft

I think they may have messed up on Sherrod vs. Castonzo

Look at the info blurbs and they talk about sherrod at 33 and 34

Aldon Smith would be OLB???

His body type looks like Crable Tall lanky I hope he is better seems more athletic

Wilkerson looks like he would be dangerous next to Vince and Warren

This would be a Belicheck type pick ala Seymour and Warren big guys high picks D line

If Smith converts to OLB well we could expect some very nice defensive pressure and thus a better secondary as well!!!

That looks to me like a long-term starting OT, OG and C. Don't we need all 3?

I would be head over heels with that draft.

wow... thats the 1st time i have seen film on Aldon smith.

The player he most reminds me of is DeMarcus Ware. He maybe more raw and there is a chance he may bust, but I'm willing to gamble.

Be careful about Aldon smith. We've seen these Jason Pierre-Paul and Aaron Maybin types enter the league. Everyone around them says their bodies haven't matured after a one-year big splash on the college scene. These guys worry me.

Ever see Maybin's junior highlights? Pretty impressive.

Glad most seem to like the draft.

The only thing I worry about with Smith is how much football means to him - He seems to love the game, but will also make an oddball comment here and there that makes you wonder. I'm sure Belichick and company will do their homework re: his dedication.

how can you have 4 mock drafts before the combine...whats going on there

Nice!!!! And as I have said before, I think John Clay will be a good NFL RB.

With an entire site dedicated to nothing but the NFL Draft and the Patriots...

Easily the best mock draft ive seen so far. It addresses the Two main needs IMO Pass rush and interior O line. Now if only BB thinks so.
