I like the talent evaluations on this site:
Mock Draft | New Era Scouting

One of the reasons I've cooled on Ingram is his 3 fumble game which seems to be a lasting impression. Or an omen?

The other is we have Green, Woodhead and hopefully Faulk and Morris back. Very capable backs. Green is not going to astound you but he just doesnt fumble. He's not the guy I want down there full time but he fills the bill for now.

Last reason, there are some pretty good running backs in the later rounds. We can get one if they feel the need.

Ingram uses his blockers with great vision. Probably better than anyone since Peterson and that is giving him a lot of credit. Probably too much from other poster's eyes.He doesn't have the burst and power that Peterson has though which make him a poor fit for us. The holes our oline create are not gaping and don't stay open long enough. Green is really good at fitting through them. I like Ingram a lot though, and think he will be a great fit somewhere else. Maybe one of the best players in this draft in the right situation.

Wilfork and Warren are both 29 btw. Not old, but not spring chickens either. The trenches will always come first in the way of Belichick.

I'm sure everybody knows how I feel about Miller, and there's no need for an upgrade over Benny, only a backup.

Don't like it or hate it, but I'm OK with it. We do need another RB, I'm just not sure if it's in the 1st round.

Epic Fail for me. Miller constantly shooting upfield on the right side is only going to make the holes even bigger. Since we don't have aDE to anchor that side. Ingram, no thanks, he strikes me as a player who has maxed out his potential. When I see his "backup" come in and exceed him on the eye test, ceiling has been reached. This would never happen anyway so, it is what it is.......

amazing...you see miller going as high as top 5 and as low as the mid to late first

Von Miller below Akeem Ayers seems very strange to me.

I know Miller is not the perfect 3-4 OLB, but his pass rushing abilities are getting rave reviews by Scouts. I want a stud outside pass rusher for our defense. Its our number one need IMO, so I am cool with Miller.

Ingraham at 28 is a fail. No need to waste a first round pick on an RB.

For some teams he projects as a Top-5 talent due to their scheme. For other teams, and the same reasons, he is a late 1st or beyond talent.

There's no way Miller slips out of the top 10. In the Senior Bowl, Miller showed that he's an excellent player in space. He can cover, he can really tackle, he can pursue, and he's a great edge rusher. He's got to be on every team's radar after that. Even for the Pats, who obviously like bigger OLBs, Miller would be a fit. His long arms make up for any height shortage. So the only issue is his weight - which is a bit overrated. Surely he could bulk up 8-12 pounds if necessary. IMO, Miller would be a faster and more athletic version of Rosevelt Colvin - the one before the hip injury.

If nothing else someone will really want Miller if he falls to #17 and trader Bill will leap into action, if he doesn't take Miller.

Miller remains the most sudden defensive player in this draft. But even his long arms will not help him set a hard edge against NFL OT's. But Miller covers really well and has good change of direction skills.

Miller seems to break the BB rule of drafting three down players in the first round.

As for #28, I go back to the three down rule. If BB takes Ingram, it will be to replace Green, with Green taking over the short yardage/goal line and back up role. Woodhead stays in the third down role.

One thing to consider is that Ingram spent his entire senior season dinged up with multiple injuries. And when he was healthy against Auburn, he put the rock on the turf three times.

Swap Cameron Jordan (who they have going 29th) for Ingram and add the best OL available at 33 and Id be happy with that.

Miller - 17
Jordan - 28
Wisniewski - 33

Excellent point, but realistically how does Jordan fall that far? I think Dallas could really use Jordan at #9.

Looking at this draft, I trade up to grab Dallas' #9 and take Patrick Peterson.

Why? BB prefers smaller, quicker, ubber change of direction CB's, like Harris of Miami or Burney of UNC (on day three of the draft).

I would put up his abilities against Harris and Burney (in terms of change of direction) any day of the week.

You realize he's the same exact height as Leigh Bodden, right?

Here's the thing for me. While it would seem ideal to add Peterson, who can presumably play at or above the level of Bodden and McCourty, all we really need is a guy who's significantly better than Wilhite, Butler and Carter. Doesn't seem necessary to trade away picks to move up to get a guy to cover that requirement.

I think Harris might be great for us. Unfortunately, he's likely to go somewhere in the range where we'll need to use our pick(s) on a 3-4 DE and/or a top O-lineman. Fortunately, there should be a few guys available in the 2nd and later who look capable of bumping one or two guys off the bottom of the CB depth chart.

Yes, but I also realize that Bodden was not drafted by BB.
