And a Dynasty was born! :rocker:

And a Dynasty was born! :rocker:

I watched it the next day as I couldn't watch it live and was in complete disbelief that we had actually won the SB. After 15 years as a Pats fan at that point, I had pretty much lost faith in us winning it. :singing:

We were all patriots that day!!

Absolute best Patriots moment eva!!!

I shed a man tear... first time ever for a sporting event.

...then I promptly went out to chop down a tree for fire wood and hunt/kill dinner with my bare hands. :cough/cough:

I was on my knees laughing after Vinatieri made the kick. I just couldn't believe we had pulled it off.

It's one of the best moments of my life, magnified by the fact that it was the day after losing my grandmother. It made everything perfect for a little while, and that's all I needed.

Other than the important life moments, (wedding day, kids being born, etc) along with the Sox winning the WS, that was the greatest day EVER.

Bono's serenade at halftime was prophetic. It was A Beautiful Day. Still smile like a fool every time that comes on the muzak system when I'm in the supermarket...

Since then it's all been gravey for me. They don't owe me a thing. And yet they've given me a whole lot more.

Francesa has Kurt Warner on his radio program now. They are talking about those tapes. The fact that they where destroyed. The fact that maybe the pats knew alot.

Best day on the Sports Fan side of my life. I could not beleive that after years and years of watching this slap happy franchise I was rewarded with an improbable Superbowl Victory...Happiness!

Com'on man... no talk about that nonsense in this thread please.

TIA

one of the best memories was at the end of the pregame show when they were making predictions and it was all rams till it got to bradshaw.

"...I can't go aganst anyone wearing red, white and blue. calling themsleves Patriots"

I also remember sitting in hte edge of my couch and when the kick went through i jsu was on my knees in shock but loving every second of it

Let 'em talk.

"Maybe" and "Fact" do not belong in the same sentence.

Either the Pats gained a competitive advantage from the tapes or they didn't.

You have to go out there and execute.Plain and simple. The pats executed on that day.

I had chills when they came out together as a team rather than individually and thought for the first time that they may pull it off. I was jumping around like a 5 yr old when AV's kick went through the uprights.

Maybe the year the number ends in 2 is going to be another good one a year from now...we can only hope.

I still live in the same apartment in Manhattan where I watched that game. I swear that sometimes, late at night, when I am sitting alone and everything is quiet, I can still hear my scream reverberating around my living room from the moment when Adam's kick went through the uprights.

That thought and John Madden's "what Tom Brady just did gives me goosebumps" just brought a tear to my eye all these years later.

"...what Tom Brady just did gives me goosebumps." - John Madden

Interestingly, Madden did not like the Patriots M.O. until AFTER, I believe, the 3rd snap of the drive, when Redmond picked up the 1st down and dragged a Rams defender out of bounds to stop the clock. :D

yeah. i've watched the tape dozens of times and he said that Brady should take a knee and the Pats should play for OT...I think that was the Raider in him coming out...but he corrected quickly and made that memorable comment, I give him a lot of credit for that.
