Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Joe Flacco, Matt Cassel, Matt Ryan, Josh Freeman, Michael Vick, Eli Manning and Mark Sanchez.

Just curious. Make your list and rate these Qbs 1-10 with 1 being the best and 10 being the worst. My list above is in NO meaningful order, just listed them out even though Sanchez was listed last :p

Notice I didnt mention Brady and Manning. Totally different tangents.

The top 3 are a lot better than the middle five and the middle five are a lot better than the bottom 2.

I don't feel strongly about the order within the middle 5.

Notice I was "equal opportunity" but putting 1 unscrupulous guy in each category (Ben, Sanchez, Vick)

^ winner.....

oh and i'd like to add, i see sanchez as very similar to big ben

a guy who has moments of clutchness, but for the most part is a game manager carried by his defense whose stats probably won't ever be earth shattering on a team that's a smashmouth offense

So you'd have to think twice between Sanchez and Big Ben if you were given the choice between the two?

Mercy, if so.

I honestly dont think Sanchez is better than Manning though

I think Brees is clearly number one. After that maybe Rivers, maybe Roethlisberger.

Rivers posts better numbers but in clutch games and clutch moments he tends to look very non-clutch.

Roethlisberger is the opposite. His numbers aren't nearly as gaudy but he seems to have a knack for coming up big in big moments. I thought he was awful in the Jets game, but when he needed to make those plays at the end of the game he made them.

I'm surprised so many people put Matt Ryan over Vick... I like Matty Ice but he's a little overrated to me. I know people here don't like Vick for various reasons but you can't deny his talent.

Accuracy, we all know about his ability to run, makes good decisions for the most part and too me, he has the prettiest ball thrown ever. i think every ball he throws is a perfect spiral.

3.Ben Roethlisberger
4.Michael Vick
5.Matt Ryan
6.Matt Cassel
7.Joe Flacco
8.Josh Freeman
9.Eli Manning
10.Mark Sanchez

I would note two things:

1.) Cassel is a bit of a flyer, until I see him in more games against quality competition.

2.) Sanchez is far and away the worst of the group. He's a bottom 5 NFL QB right now.

1.Philip Rivers
2.Drew Brees
3.Ben Roethlisberger
4.Michael Vick
5.Matt Ryan
6.Matt Cassel
7.Joe Flacco
8.Josh Freeman
9.Eli Manning
10.Mark Sanchez

I agree with this list. Brees and Rivers can be argued but all around my type of list.

edit: Why these ten?

I assume we're purposely leaving out Rodgers, but I'd take Schaub and Cutler ahead of 9 and 10 for sure. Bradford too.

I'm with you on the Brees/Rivers thing. I've normally considered Brees to be the #3 QB in the league, but he had a horrible year as far as interceptions go, tossing 22 picks this season. I couldn't overlook that.

Right! I tried to pick the more controversial QBs that can be argued. Rodgers is better than most of this list, Cutler.... well, is Cutler and Schuab would have been a good addition to the list.

2) Rivers
3) Roethlisberger
4) Vick
5) Ryan
