Do you have it in your heart to forgive and forget Plaxico's great grab for the winning TD over a beaten Hobbs in SB 42 and would like us to sign him as a Patriot?

Burress is 34 but word is that he has stayed in shape and ready to come back and find a team to play for in 2011 once he is released on June 1st of this year.

The Giants probably will not want him back and only Baltimore has said they have interest in him...probably could get him on the cheap.

The guy obviously has some baggage so is he worth it for a decent price?

Another Michael Vick story perhaps?

Michael Vick was a deeply evil human being.

Plaxico was a criminally reckless self-centered jerk.

The two should not be compared.

My real character concern about Plaxico is his attitude toward practice and other work.

Do not want

33 years old, coming off of a 2 year prison stint? No thanks. Someone else will pay him more than he's worth

Both were in jail for more than a week or month...and Vick came out years later and is playing well

Thats the comparison Sherlock...not in what they did in comparison, but in serving time and away from the game.

Vick's been out of prison 2 years. What exactly did he do in his first year back? Also, Vick and Plaxico served roughly the same amount of jail time.

Plaxico will be 34 when he's a year out. He's five years older than Vick was when he got out of prison. There's not much comparison between the two.

I think I'll pass.

The Bengals can have him

Since the Jets will have an opening at WR by not being able to sign both Edwards and Holmes, I would expect Burress to land there.

Thanks....but no thanks

No. I'll read the thread later.

**** no! Practice squad material..

I read they are resigning Edwards and Holmes.. Then signing Ocho, TO and Burress :)

When is Rae Carruth available?

Wellll...the Jets probably can't afford to keep both Edwards and Holmes, soooo...sounds like a perfect fit for Team Ryan...

Trade:

Plaxico can take Edwards place on the Jets and Edwards can take Plaxico's place in prison.

Might actually happen. Can't imagine that a DUI is in keeping with the terms of his probation.
