Wow, that injury must be a lot worse than we know. I guess it's "gulp" Walter time. I hope he does better this time around. :(

At first I thought they would keep both...until Miller got better..but it seems he's gone for the year..so it's Ken Walter to take the team to Miami..

What does this do to Gost's confidence as a kicker? He has to adjust to a new holder. I know Walter was great as a holder here but this is a rookie kicker, who knows what could mess with his head.

How could a shoulder injury put a kicker on the IR? Must be more to this story. They must have been afraid he couldn't even reach up to get a snap. Must have a separation that won't heal in 6 weeks. Bad news indeed as Miller was one of the best kickers in the game the last few years.

Walter used to be very good, so we can only hope he got rid of that mental block he had where he couldn't even handle a snap. If you go to the game, please do NOT boo this guy, he doesn't handle it very well and we need him.

Walter's ability to serve as holder must've been the key to his return. I feel bad for Miller. Anyone know how he got hurt? Also, I thought we had a punter on the practice squad ...

Supposedly he had a shoulder injury of his own that was finally corrected surgically and that is why he decided not to retire. Of course that's what Dramatica claimed and yet teams aren't clamoring for their services. I guess with Miller going downhill like a freight train the last 3 games, BB prefers the devil he knows. Can always audition a punter a week if it doesn't pan out. I wish they had trained Cassel as a holder though just in case we find ourselves playing musical punters.

I think he has been hurt for about 6 weeks ago..when they brought Braugher in. He is still there...maybe not ready for the big time now..

That's a shocker, too bad, guess the kicking game will once again be a main talking point of this board... otoh maybe Walter has gotten over his issues whatever they are.

Miller hurt his shoulder in the Cincy game but he's also been battling a leg injury. Hope Ken "Ball Boy" Walters can do the job.

His issue: He couldn't punt deep enough.

He does some things well, though, such as get rid of the ball quickly, holding for placekicks, and faking like a player has run into him.
