I'm concerned about the coachig decisions made in big playoff games like trying to throw the ball primarily and getting away from the run game. how do you let a 2nd year player call a fake punt? why an onside kick at the end of the game. no trust in defense.

Brady goes from totally emotional in a 45-3 blowout to unemotional in a playoff loss.

Concerned about the two leaders

More specifically, a run stuffing, double team demanding, presence in the pass rush LDE and an OLB. After that, build up the interior O-Line with young, fresh bodies and draft a big, north-south RB and a speed demon at WR, and yeah... we should be good to go.

Dont get to comfortable we need another one for proper bookends.

Besides that, One thing I forgot from our 2008 season, no matter how good you are Injuries, Injuries, Injuries, Injuries, make you normal and very beatable. God help us in a 18 game season.

at what point do the pats just become in season winners rather than playoff contenders? or have they already become this. they do great during the season and choke in the playoffs. have they become the colts? the atlanta braves?

It's been an unusual decade of dominance in the AFC by not just the Pats, but Steelers & Colts. We've gotten so used to it - the thing I wonder about is when the inevitable shift takes place, and teams like Houston, Tennessee, KC or whoever are the ones who take over...

I agree with what someone said above. In 2008, we had arguably the greatest team of all time, and we went 11-5. Any freak injury at any point will rupture the team completely.

Pittsburgh has been winning since Bradshaw. They've had some slow years in the 80s but were always competitive and always did around 8-8 or better. Good franchises don't have too many 'down eras', and when they do have these bad times they are short lived. Same kind of thing over in the NFC with the Packers and Cowboys. It all starts with good ownership. I really don't know how much of the success is purely BB and how much credit the Krafts deserve. I don't really know much about it.

The Irsays are right now in the middle of serious negotiations with the NFL to make sure that the AFC representative in SB 46 which takes place in Indianapolis is anyone but the Patriots.

The Pats simply are not allowed to vie for a championship in hillbilly country,Polian has requested Goodell to assure this will not happen by banning NE from the postseason in 2011/12

The good news here is that if you go by the past 4 decades and 45 years of pro football then you can rule out the Indianapolis Colts to play in next years big game.

Yep...the team whose stadium is host for the super bowl is 0-45 in making it to the big game....sorry Colts fans,you have an almost impossible task ahead of you.
