Troy Brown having heard what he just said, reversed field and contradicted himself by saying that Tom could move within the pocket. The segment was filled with speculation about how much the knee & foot injuries have lowered Brady's effectiveness.

This, it seems like Brady can extend a play for a second buy taking a step in the pocket but he's no Roethlisburger within the pocket. Brady eats just as many sacks as anybody in the league and that can be good and bad. also Inb4 patsfans.com turns into ****troybrown.com

Give me a break.Tom's a pocket passer.Some of the sacks that he had against te jets where coverage sacks where he held on to the ball.I think the problem is that this offensive line has become very finesse.They dont pound the football with the running game.The offensive line needs to be more physical.

Mainly because Rex had a masterful game plan to take away Brady's strengths and exploit the sh!t out of his only weakness--inability to scramble or throw on the run. Plus we refused to counter what they were doing on D until the clock-killing drive, which ironically did us in because of poor execution and nobody being on the same page at the most critical moment.

If Brady is going to continue being a statue back there--which he will (and no, his side-stepping a rush now and then doesn't count)--we HAVE to go to a run-first offense. Sounds counterintuitive when you have TFB, but the Giants and the Jets have now shown us that it is a fact.

There is in fact a "blueprint" for counteracting Brady, and difficult as it is to execute, there will always be some defenses that have the talent to pull it off.

I will go with Ron Jaworski who says that Brady is the most mobile QB in the NFL. No QB today, maybe in history, the ability of Brady to feel the rush and step up right at the right time to avoid the rush. Unfortunately for him, his one weakness with this is if there is pressure up the middle. But that is a problem for any pocket QB.

I was a fan of Bledsoe's, the guy was a statue in the pocket. He was nothing like Brady.

While, like Brady, Manning won't tuck it and run if his life depended on it, he rolls out and throws on the run fairly frequently.

Bledsoe would hold the ball too long and take some sacks he could avoid. Brady had 25 sacks in 16 games, which puts him at the bottom of the NFL in sacks taken over a full season, behind only Manning and Ryan.

Of the sacks he took in the Jets game, 1 was an unblocked safety and the other straight over center. The rest were coverage sacks. If Flacco, Rivers and Cutler are not considered statues, explain why they had between 15 and 25 more sacks over the season.

It was a bad game, and it sucks to lose, but try not to forget the entire season leading up to that game and throw the season out as irrelevant. It is easier to call that loss a bad game than it is to discount the work of 16 games.

The idea that Brady has no mobility in the pocket is absurd. Did anyone of these idiots saying this "stuff" watch any game other than the last one? His pocket movement had Jaws, Gruden et al raving about his ability to move in the pocket as being unparalleled. JC, he had a bad game but this crap is gone past being ridiculous.

There's a common phenomenon among sports fans (and the media) to assume the most recent game is a trend and everything before that is irrelevant; power polls and weekly predictions are evidence of that.

There were only three teams that gave up fewer sacks than the Pats did in 2010.

The most recent game does not equal everything that will happen in the future.

That injury in 08 was really a shame because in 06 and 07 he was starting to run with the ball more and picking up 1st downs. Anyone else remember this? It kind of stopped in 09 and 10.
