gabe carimi is a probable pats pick. Vincent brown from sdsu, wr, is a possible pick.

Paea weighed in at 295 this morning so he is too small to play NT. Probably gonna be a DT in a 4-3.

Beal supposedly looked bad today.
Jordan strikes me as a much better 1-gap fit. Seems too small to play here.

Allen Bailey- 278lbs. Where would he play? He needs to gain 20lbs to play DE, or lose 20 to play OLB. He has never been a player that would fit into this defense, and he won't be come April.

In addition to the names already mentioned:

I really want to get a long look at DE/OLB Brooks Reed (Arizona) for a possible mid rounds pick. I just love his burst and motor when I saw him during the season. But he did tend to get wired in blocks by the OT when he played DE. I hope they try him at OLB and the wider setup, with his hand off the ground helps him avoid that.

WR Titus Young (Boise State) who we saw today is a very nice deep threat.

G/C John Moffit (Wisconsin) who we also saw today, looked decent. Plus he has some versatility.

G/C Steve Schilling caught my eye during the season.

RB Bilal Powell (Louisville) looked great this season, but he's a little lighter than I prefer. So I hope they try some runs up the middle with him. Who knows, he could be a Curtis Martin/ Emmitt Smith type who does fine with inside runs. Even at that size.

I also like OL Lee Ziemba (Auburn) as a possible RT for us.

205 is too light? It's really not that bad at all. Think of Chris Johnson or Jamaal Charles, or even our own Danny Woodhead. Powell runs far harder/more physically than any of those players, and has good enough size and burst to be a great change of pace to BJGE. I love the idea of adding him to our team.

It's just personal preference. I like bigger backs that can kill the clock and break the opponents will with steady, consistent runs. Even a BJGE clone (for depth) would make me very happy.

Powell didn't run like a small back (bouncing it outside constantly) so hopefully he'll do well.

How do you figure that Jordan is too small to play here?? He was the same weight as Jarvis Green. The difference between Jordan and Green is that Jordan still has room to put 10-15 lbs on his frame. That would put him at the ideal 3-4 DE weight. And he's certainly got the height and arm length for it.

Why would he need to lose 20 lbs to play OLB?? Willie McGinest played OLB at 275 for the Pats.. Vrabel was between 260 and 270 as well.

From what I've read so far, Bailey has litte body fat and looks pretty cut. If he had to lose 20 pounds, it would probably be all muscle...

Tamba Hali is roughly the same height/weight and he seems to be fine at OLB.

Jarvis Green was tried at DE in the base package. He failed horribly. Jarvis Green is exactly what I expect Jordan to become, a solid pass-rusher but not able to hold his own against the run.

Watching the South team and I really like the DT from Baylor. Beat every OL he went up against on 1 on 1. Greath push and collasped the pocket.

Phil Taylor? DraftInsiders said Monday that he was eating up double teams and clogging the middle on run plays.

The difference is that Green was maxxed out on his weight. Jordan isn't. So, making a blanket decision that Jordan is not going to be solid against the run is kinda silly. Especially when he was solid against it in college.

maybe the pats will draft him...to unbrace the brace pick.

I could see cameron jordan and this guy both being picked.

Plus herlich, a rb, and a couple ol.

I thought he looked great. If we could get him late to be a backup to Wilfork I would be a happy Patfan.

That's certainly the worry, but fwiw Cameron is definitely bigger. Coming out of college Green measured just 6031 272, while Jordan is 6041 287.
