It Is What It Is Ex-Patriots receiver Terry Glenn arrested again

According to Denton County (Tx.) records, former Patriots wide receiver Terry Glenn was arrested early on Thursday morning and released that same day on $3,011 bond for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.
However, since his release from the Cowboys in 2008, he has been arrested multiple times, according to several reports. He was cited and handcuffed but not arrested in late-2005 — while still a member of the Cowboys — for public intoxication when a cop found him urinating outside of a restaurant. In early 2009, he was arrested for public intoxication and marijuana possession. In Jan. 2010, he was arrested on grand theft auto charges for not returning a rented car. In Sept. 2010, according to Denton Co. records, he was arrested and released on a $500 bond for marijuana possession.

He's had a tough life. Finding your mother murdered when you come home from school has to have long lasting effects. I think he stopped developing mentally as child with all the trama in his life. I hope the guy gets help.

I have a friend who litterally watched his mother get murdered by his dad when he was a child, and he doesnt get arrested all the time.

Too bad for Glenn. I remember back around when he was drafted they were asking him about nutrition because he was such an exceptional athlete. He laughed it off ... ate McDonalds, chips, soda ... you name it. Said he could not be a role model for nutrition.

I am giving the guy a break. It isn't like he murdered someone. He is just getting drunk and high. Big deal. I will always feel for the guy after what happened to him.

I agree. It's tragic how things happened for him as a child, but there comes a time, regardless of how you were brought into this world, when you just have to grow up and take responsibility for yourself, because no one else will.

If he keeps it up, he could be the cause for someone else's misfortune. He needs to grow the **** up.

What you say is true but very simplistic. Many people grow up in environments where basics like self-care and responsibility aren't taught or shown by example. When you're genetically predisposed to substance abuse the only thing that can help is intervention and counseling. Hopefully he gets that before ending up in prison.

That's true when it comes to drinking and driving -- without question. But arubin's right about many of his arrests -- public intoxication, possession, who cares?
