I am SO sick and tired of hearing about TFB's previously undisclosed (or previously un-suffered, so don't try to ping me on not knowing when it occurred) injury.

Every DAMN year after a playoff loss I get to hear, from the team that plays three-card-monte w/the injury report, that SURPRISE! Brady has a broken this or that thing.

ARGH, just continue to cover the damn thing up next time. I'm still getting over that sore shoulder he was listed for since 2002...

Just a PR note.

PS, as to the loss itself: it happened. They beat us. We can all say stuff but we got our butt kicked. End of story.

I am just tired of reading that "oh yeah and Brady was injured' script.

Okay let fly...

8 more months...

So far, you are the only one I've read who has associated the injury with the loss. I can't understand how you could be tiring of hearing about it.

You would rather that BB lets opponents know about injuries that don't need to be on the report?

The Patriots got beat but certainly didn't get their butt kicked. Last year against Baltimore in the playoffs was a butt-kicking.

Tom Brady Cast – Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, pictured below in a walking cast outside Gisele Bundchen’s New York brownstone, says his foot injury is not serious.

Here’s the Tom Brady cast photo of him limping toward Gisele’s place:

Foot injuries don't heal well. It's chronic.

During his weekly radio show on Boston’s WEEI, Tom Brady didn’t deny that he suffered a foot injury during Sunday’s win over the San Diego Chargers in the AFC Championship Game.

Brady was following BBs orders in regards to not mentioning feet as to not upset Ryan and the Jets.

The seasons over. The gloves (slippers) come off.

Re: One more damn thing...

Brady first injured the foot in 2008. I have a feeling you would have heard more about it had he not injured the knee...:bricks: It got better with rest - as they sometimes do - and wasn't an issue in 2009. He reinjured it in 2010 and it appeared on the injury report beginning November 10.

I'm sure Bill thought about not burdening you with it this off season but Brady in an OR and in a boot isn't something TMZ is gonna let slide...

For the record Stephania Bell, the sports PT who assesses injuries for ESPN, says this one had to be borderline agonizing given it's on his plant foot. Yet even his closest friends on the team were unaware of it's severity. Brady is a stoic, always has been. And he never makes excuses let alone tolerates using injury as one. He is as mentally and physically tough as nails. He will do whatever it takes (legally) to get on or stay on the field. He historically plays well through injuries. This year was no exception. Which ranks up their value wise with talent and with durability because some guys irrespective of talent while avoiding major injury can't play well with a hangnail. What makes what he does even more remarkable is so much of his game is predicated on maintaining consistent mechanics.

Hopefully they are in his ear about not pushing this injury no matter what any of his rehab gurus of choice might think. The risk far outweights any reward.

Re: One more damn thing...

The best thing for Brady and Pats fans, is for there to be a lockout, so Brady can stay off this injury and not rush back.

I think that picture is recycled from January 2008.

As for foot injuries, I don't know enough about them in general or Brady's specifically to comment on whether or not his is a chronic condition - but it seems like most professional athletes are able to return from injuries and perform at 100% today, unlike a generation ago.

It's not that serious....they say he could be ready before training camp.

The point is it's from 2008. Feet are made up of very tiny bones. They tend to not heal well because of lack of blood circulation (no MD, you could look this up and correct me, but this is essential true, I believe).

Despite modern medicine, bone size and circulation in feet hasn't changed, which is why I mentioned Bill Walton. Like Walton (not as bad, I'm guessing and TFB certainly doesn't need to jump up and down for 60 minutes) Brady has a chronic condition. It will flare up, and subside. They will try operations, but there isn't anything that will cure this 100% now. If there is, I'm sure it is some sort of surgical miracle.

People have bad feet, bad backs etc. Lots of treatments help, none cures the problem, only treats it.

Knee operations, for example, don't give you the same knee you had as a teenager. They are more clever and less invasive, which makes healing quicker, but they are still mechanical adjustments.

Re: One more damn thing...

I read this is similar to what Pedroia had. No ones using this as an excuse or the other injuries hes had at the end of the year going into the playoffs but when your star QB has surgery its going to make the news and we're gonna discuss it on a Patriots board.
