Will a Jet loss to the Steelers make us feel a wee bit better?

Right now I know it doesn't seem like it but if the Steelers do give a beat down to the Jets - I do think it will make us feel better with ourselves and actually look forward to the SuperBowl.

And even though the Jets did beat us and are on the seventh sky - a second loss in a row in the AFCCG would be devastating and that will be what they remember from this season as the last game they played and lost. No chance at the SuperBowl AGAIN whereas we have won 3. All their bravado, trash talk, etc down the drain.

Lets all hope for that because the alternative (seeing the Fatman just going to the big game in Dallas) would be sickening and I would vomit about 10 times in a row.

I want to see them go to the SB and lose.

Teams that go to SB and lose as a rule are not a threat for a few years.

So let them go and then we can crap on their fans for choking for a few years.

I think I have to agree with this.

I am starting to think a SB loss would be the optimal outcome, as well. Scoff all you want, but Super Bowl losers traditionally crap the bed the next year and rarely make the playoffs.

And them going from "soon to be champs" to "How did we lose that one?" would be ideal?

I fully agree that we want the Steelers to kill the Jets this week. And watching the Jets blow it and still have to be jealous of us would make me feel slightly better than now.

But then that leaves the Steelers in the SB again. And again without even having to play us:mad:

We would be rooting for them to lose the SB because if we ever want to catch them as a franchise they cant keep getting rings. Not to mention I want Brady to be the active QB with the most SBs.

I have more respect for the steelers though as they have been doing it for a decade now and while they talk some trash and what not they at least usually respect their opponents.

Go Packer or Bears. Really thats what this year comes down to? I have to root for teams that have beat us in a SB that I would normally never root for. There is only one NFC team I hate more than these two.

The best I can hope for is for the Jests to lose to the Steelers and the Packers to demolish the Steelers in the SB

I think seeing the Jests become AFC champs is enough to make me puke

I can't fathom the thought of those idiots hoisting a Lombardi. Imagine what that trophy would have to endure? Because you know Rex would bring it home and do...............things................to it

Some of you guys want them to make the SB? Really? Have 2-3 more weeks of jets talk and have them actually have a chance at winning it?

That's not exactly a rule or a science. The Colts, even though they suffered the "loser's curse" through injuries, were still very much a threat to us. The only way the Jets fall apart is through their laundry list of free agents this summer. That will happen regardless, so I'd rather the Steelers advance to the Super Bowl then lose to the Packers or Bears.

if i was a patriots fan i would want the jets to reach the super bowl and get blown out.

i doubt you guys want to hear big ben having 3 rings, and being better than brady(because he well lets be honest. big ben isnt)

:yeahthat:

That's what I said yesterday - for that reason alone

Part of me wants their bus to break down and they miss the Pitt game...forfeit. On the other hand, put SuperBowl rings on their fingers, and the comedy/arrest scale will explode.

I vote SuperBowl champs...I need some offseason entertainment before the draft.

Yes, but just a wee bit . . . and then pull hard for the NFC representative to beat Pitt

No!No! No! If the Jets make it to the SB that means that they have won eh AFC Championship. To them that will be a big deal, a very big deal, regardless if they win the SB or not.

I want them to continue to be losers, total and complete losers. Some of you think that we are talking about an ordinary team with an ordinary fans base and are using the logic that goes along with that. You are trying to use rational reason againts evil.

We are dealing with a sick franchise and a sick fan base. Come on people get your hate together!!! I don't want that scubag team or their scumbag fans anywhere near the Super Bowl.

So yes, if will be helpful if they lose this weekend and even more if the Packers beat the Steelers.

Yeah, but those teams were long ago and far away.

Jets losing in the SB would be glorious.

I think Jets losing to Pitt makes us looks worse and make the Jets 1-1 in SB's.
If they can't close the deal its the most painful for them....and Steelers fans will have to endure the pain of losing another AFC championship at home.

This may be an anathema to most fans, but I actually have always rooted for the team that beats my team to win it all. I always want to believe that only the best team could take us out, not the 2nd- or 3rd- or 4th-best.

This includes bitter rivals. Had the Ravens beat Pitt last weekend, I would have wanted Baltimore to win the SB.

The only exception is when a team beats my team, then really goes overboard with trash talk or really non-classy actions after the win. Then I'll root against them.

Then, either way, the Jets would be the exception. Just as the Pats would be the exception to the Jets had the final score gone the other way.

Lol well as you can see the Jets do that why else would we root for you guys being one of our rivals in this decade.

:agree:

I don't want to see either team win, but if one has to then this is the best scenario. Jets get over hyped and ends abruptly. Steelers season ends early and doesn't put them in the running for the best team of the decade.
