Just getting it out there now that this season has gone down the drain!!!What are your expectations next year? The bar was set high with this 14-2 season. You will get Leigh Bodden, Ty Warren back. You might add pieces to the DL and the OL through the draft.
For me its AFC championship game or bust!!!!!!

For me, it's a Super Bowl title. Same as every year.

There are two ways to look at this. One way is that expectations should be lower considering what just happened. The other is that this was a rebuilding year and we went 14-2 so expectations should naturally be higher. It all depends on what this team does in the offseason. I hope to see a well prepared team with an Identity and some heart. No getting beat down on your own field wildcard weekend or the divisional round.

What can they do in the off-season?I doubt they will go after FAs.The OL is a big question mark.

9-7 missing the playoffs, realistically they probably go 12-4 and make it but even if they are 16-0 I expect a first round exit again. What else can you expect? Two top 10 scoring teams with 2 top 10 MVP seasons down the drain to Wild Card teams, it is a joke and this style of play doesn't win anything in January/February.

Now I know why everyone was saying the team was average and would barely win 10 games, not better than the Jets etc. They were not blind and probably have a good night sleeping Sunday unlike people like me who actually thought we had a contender.

High expectations. But I'll wait and see what comes from the draft and FA (assuming there is FA) before deciding how high they're going to be.

I wish the draft was tomorrow, not 3 months away.

My expectations are the same as every year...try and make the playoffs...even as a #6 seed

We all see that the distance between the 1st and 6th seed has been narrowed greatly the past couple of years and other than a week off and the overated HFA it does not matter.

As long as you bring your best effort to the opponents stadium it does not matter if you have rested or not...if you are hot you will win or at least be very close, the fans yelling means nothing when its do or die.

The days of HFA being a dominant thing are over and done with.

Just be good enough to get the #6 seed is all any fan with proper perspective should wish for and if its more great....if not, just be glad you are in the tournament.

14-2

lose first home playoff game

How about spending some money and getting stronger. This team really needs to beef up that DL.The defense should be much better next year.No excuses!!!

Bodden and Ty should be back next year and if they're at the level they left off that will be great. Add a OLB that can rush the QB a legit deep threat to allow Welker to do more stuff in the slot along with Branch and maybe add a tackle t o help out the O line and my expectations would be SB bound.

19-0 and complete redemtion on all fronts :rocker: I am not giving up on this teams greatness until its absolutely glaringly obvious we cant get back there. With this young team and some solid vets returning along with another stacked draft we should be right back at the top of the league next year. One thing has come clear to me is that you cant compete year in and year out without having heart breaking season regularly so take your lumps and keep your head high greatness can still be had.

My expectations are we return to the promise land for the 10 year anniversary of the Pats v Rams superbowl. :D

That depends who is on the roster next year and at what positions the New England Patriots select in the 2011 Draft. If the Patriots re-sign Matt Light for at least one more season and the New England Patriots are able to sign Logan Mankins to a contract extension, the left side of the offensive line should be rock solid for the 2011 NFL Season. As for the 2011 NFL Draft:

1st Round Marcell Dareus
1st Round Best Available Defensive Player
2nd Round Mike Pouncey or Steve Wisniewski
2nd Round Jeremy Beal or Sam Ocho
3rd Round Offensive Tackle or Free Safety
3rd Round Offensive Tackle or Free Safety
4th Round Cornerback or Running Back
5th Round Cornerback or Running Back
6th Round Best Available Player

If Marcell Dareus from Alabama under the tutelage of Nick Saban is truly the next great 3-4 defensive end, I would seriously trade up both first round draft picks to select him.

LOL YOU MEAN 21-0

remember they're adding two more games

They might be adding 2 more games who knows when it would go in effect if at all.

but if it does I will change the mantra

As of right now, I expect 12-4 and an early playoff exit. Kind of a meaningless prediction, though, since there's a whole lot that can and will change between now and the start of the season. Depends an awful lot on whether or not Mankins re-signs, who they draft/sign, and what happens with Ty and Bodden, etc. etc.

Being at the top of the league means nothing, if you haven't noticed any wc team can beat the crap out of us no matter what it seems. Unless we get a ton of vets and someone tough it won't change.

Why don't we wait and see if the offseason goes well before we say what we expect out of the team? We don't even know what the team will be!
