In keeping with the the tone of several thread here asking deep, probing questions regarding TFB, BB, and the franchise in general, it is appropriate to ask deep and probing question about many Patriots fans.

So I guess we should look inside our selves and ask if we have become so use to winning that we have lost perspective as to what this team has given top us over the 10years.

Now maybe we should expect a SB win every year. We are so different from the other 31 team fans that we deserve all of the wins and should not accept as fan anything less. When we don't get what we want we should ask the questions if TFB is a choker, or has BB lost it, or is Bob Kraft way too cheap.

The loss yesterday was very tough to take for all of us, considering it was our most hated rival. But I think the franchise is still on the right path and will be a championship contender for the several years. But maybe we should expect more than that, afterall we are Patriots fans.

Dude, the cubs fans act like this and they have never really won anything.

Dude, the question was not about the Cubs or about baseball.

I was thinking about this last night-I used to enjoy the wins more than I do now. I've come to expect a win every game which is of course unreasonable. When the Pats lose, it's a shock. Why should it be? We have much to be thankful in the last 10 years-How many teams have never made it to the Superbowl?

okay lol

Its sorta frustrating to watch the jets over the years sign great free agents while the patriots are searching the bargain store for over the hill players that they think maybe they can get something from.

WHY ARE THE PATRIOTS TRYING TO WIN LIKE RAYS? DO NO FREE AGENTS WANT TO PLAY FOR THE PATS?

I think you just answered the question. It's not only about being spoiled brats, which many here clearly are, because as you rationalize fans should feel entitled regardless... LOL

The Jets and Lions have not made it in the 41 years since the merger. And if there is any justice left, the Lions will make it before the Jets.

It could be tied to the amount of time spent here and otherwise on the internet where the never good enough what have you done for me lately mentality prevails. I know after 2001 I said they didn't owe me a thing, and I couldn't imagine they could ever top that although I hoped they could prove it more than a cinderella fluke... then they won two more rings in 3 more seasons and we were truly even in my forever book. Doesn't mean I don't care if they win, but after the first blush of frustration or anger wears off I always feel worse for them because of how much more they invest in it compared to any fan...

The self pity ratio on these message boards is really depressing... Drags everyone down kinda like the fellowship of the miserable mentality that permeates talk radio.

I just remember growing up in Minnesota with the Vikings, losing, losing, losing, every year losing. But those fans never gave up. Even this year with the hell they went through my father called me up sometime around week 14 asking what needed to happen in order for them to make the playoffs yet! I was speechless.

Ha ... yeah, we're spoiled here.

Let me get this straight: you think the business philosophy of spending a boatload of money on free agents is the way to win in today's NFL?

Are you at all familiar with Dan Snyder and the Washington Redskins?

The teams that have shown fiscal responsibility - the Patriots, Steelers, and Colts - have been the most successful teams in the free agent/salary cap era.

Other than the Ravens in 2000, please show me one other team that was successful with a 'spend now, the future be damned' philosophy.

If you don't care for a philosophy of spreading money throughout the whole roster, of not overpaying for players, of balancing long term success with short term needs, of it being better to get rid of a player a year too early than a year too late, then you are forever going to be disappointed with this franchise - and you should do yourself a favor and become a fan of the Cowboys, Redskins, Jets or Raiders, who have a business philosophy on how to build a team that is more similar to yours.

Spoiled brats indeed.
As soon as things don't go their way they start dissing Brady and BB and the OC and DC and the strength coach and the equipment manager, etc., etc.
They ought to try being fans of the Bengals or the Bills or the Lions if they think they've got it bad.

Who's the redskins QB? If you give brady a team like that he win no qeustion. THAT'S WHAT JETS DID!!!!!!!!!!
LT2, TAYLOR, EDWARDS, THE STUD, AND HOLMES.

WHEN THE PATS DID MAKE MOVES AND GOT RANDY AND WELKER THEY WON........

Good point. Every team in the NFL should be held to the same low standards. :bricks:

******ed. We're "spoiled" because we expect to beat a Sanchez-led team that we just beat 45-3, at home, after a week off. That goes down in my book as a huge CHOKE. And now 3 straight playoff losses... that's disgusting.

Some people claimed they stopped watching after the Jets went up 14-3.

Pathetic.

I'm so tired of watching the jets get all these big names while all the pats can get is old player who used to be great.

Adalius thomas WAS a bad pickup but he should not be the reason they don't sign any big names

how dare we expect not to get embarrassed on our home field against a bunch of **** talking thugs. Im really glad that our players and coaches expect more from this team and don't fall back on what we've done in the past. Sure Im happy with our success in the early 2000's but popping in a DVD doesn't erase what just happened.

For all of us who have been fans longer than 10 years we realize how fortunate we have been. It's a complete bummer that we lost in the playoffs this much is true. However we were AFCE champs, we have a awesome base to build from, and looking forward I can only see us getting better. If you suffered through the dark years with this team I think you're a bit more inclined to not be as whiny.

Regardless of this loss we have one hell of a team that is poised to continue to make post season appearances for years to come.

I think some are and some are being really irrational. I'm a late Pats fan came in right when they won thier first and I can hardly be on this board right now because of hte type of threads that are coming. The loss sucked but I'm over it. I'm not about to trash the team who got this far because they had a bad game, **** happens.
