I'm tired of sitting back and letting teams take shot at us, a lot of are players get confidence while talking, especially when you have a young defense with a swag to them..... Iuno I think we shouldn't be so quiet next year and take on the bad guy role like Lebron has

The fatman wins one game and all of the sudden you want the Pats to act like them? GTFO

You can't have swagger unless you're actually a good/great football team, which the Jets evidently are.

we have to keep our composure and do what won us 3 superbowls in the past. The pats didn't run their mouths before those games did they? Yes, we lost tonight, and it hurts pretty bad. We take pride in being a classy organization and we do not want to stoop to the jets level.

The problem is, very few people outside of New England would agree that the Pats are classy anyway.

I can't argue with that.....but hey, we can't control what the rest of the country thinks of us. That's why BB demands that his players keep their mouths shut. How many other organizations would have benched a key player for the start of a game like that?

We were the bad guys all season and have been in that role for some time. Not sure where you're going with this post, but I doubt talking **** would have helped us at all today.

For the record.....everyone hates the patriots because of spygate, for the most part......and even the guy who broke the spygate story, said it was completely overblown, someone posted the article on here the other night i read it in....

I honestly wouldn't mind this. We are amongst the ****iest teams when were on the field. Sure let your play do the talking, but it doesnt help when you get hit in the mouth and don't know what to do. The guy above me with the hernandez making it rain gif kind of shows this. Where was hernandez today? Act like ****ies all week and play like it on gameday. But I doubt we ever see us doing any talking even if to defend ourselves after Bills benching welker shenanigans

I like welker as much as the next guy. But he broke the rules my friend. The patriots were told to keep their mouths shut, and welker did not follow rules. As you probably know by now, it doesn't matter how big of a "superstar" you are, nobody is bigger than the team in new england. And personally I like it this way.

Big Ben has two titles since 2005 and may be on the verge of 3.

Brady has 0.

Should Brady become a rapist?

Also, were the 2009 Saints "bad guys"? Are the Colts "bad guys"? When Dungy won a SB, was he a "bad guy"? If Brady would of called Cromartie an *** hole before the game, would he have won?

Come the **** on. I respect the **** how the Patriots conduct themselves and run the franchise, best in sports I say. Just because the arrogant team won doesn't mean all teams need to be arrogant.

When we won our first super bowl we were the darlings of the nation but when we won 2 more back to back, people kind of got tired of us and spygate changes the whole perception around the country and lo and behold, its haters galore. so screw what outsiders think of us.

Guess what, haters hate but we plod along. But showing a little emotion as long as it does not result in a penalty during a game is good, like merriweather's hit of Heap in the Baltimore game which changed the tempo & momentum.

Yesterday was a disgrace and team looked exactly like the Giants SB loss team --- flat, no fire or passion.

Your posts so far have not contributed much to this forum beyond unsubstantiated contrary opinions. First you defend that moron Bart Scott, now this. Are you a Jets fan? Time to come clean.

I don't get this viewpont, it's not accurate.

Go back and listen to Rodney before the Steeler Games, go Listen to the leaders on defense heading up to big games in the playoffs,

We didn't call anyone @ssholes, but we defended the respect card, and used talking to solidify the will that needed to be executed on come game day.

We NEVER didn't respond to another teams talk... You need to review some DVDs and watch how the Defensive leaders responded to talk, they used it, and made sure they put the pressure on everyone in the locker room to back it up.

We looked soft, and we were embarrassed nationally last night, which is 2 times more embarrassing than the 45-3 game becuase this game matter 10 times more.

No leaders next year, same result, as it was last year. If we have no one to stand up, rally the troops, and get their mind on hating their oppontent... then get used to one and one when teams like the jets, Ravens, and Steelers simply come in and turn it up a notch and out physical us with focused punishment... Even when the words are simply a way to get pumped up, and focused...

Welker should have kept his mouth shut--he really pissed off the Jets.

So you say my viewpoint doesn't make sense. But talking **** before the game will somehow win us the game? Yes, that makes total and complete sense. You are right, the patriots should start acting like the low-class, scum of the earth new york jets, and maybe we will get somewhere. Well answer this for me, how many superbowls have the jets won with all their "swag."

Look how smart of move that was. Benching Welker at the start of the gave. STUPID!!!

You can say something to Welker in private. You don't one of your best players off of the field.

Boo whoooo..Welker ticked off the judgets. Maybe if the Pats played with some fire and guts they would have won. Maybe is the OC had a flipping brain they would have won..Maybe..

Oh yeah, like benching welker for one or two plays is the reason we lost this game. Get real man, we got outplayed in every aspect of the game. Benching welker had nothing to do with the loss. NOBODY breaks the rules in New England and goes unpunished. This is how they have done things for a while now, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

And don't put words in my mouth....When exactly did I say it was a smart move?
