Got there at 11 and was stuck in traffic for over 30 minutes on 495...that's really early for traffic to be backed up that far in case you didn't know. People were tailgating hard and the area had a great vibe. I tailgated till about 3 and then headed for the stadium. Jets fans getting cursed out and chanting and interacting with tailgates that I passed by got me so pumped. You could tell that Gillette was gonna be rocking for the game.

98.5 was handing out "D FEET the Jets" signs and I got a few of those. In the stadium they were passing out rally towels, I can't remember the last time the Pats did anything like that. My seats are right by the section that goes to general public sale or goes to the away team or something like that, so the entire section next to me was J-E-T-S fans. Suprisingly the stadium was packed 30 minutes before kick off...even the 200's . Before the game the Jets fans tried to chant but we drowned that out with "J-E-T-S Suck Suck Suck" and the occasional but not as loud "F-E-E-T".

The Pats entrance had Gillette going nuts and it was gametime. During the game I only sat down once....at halftime and I didn't see anyone sitting down except for end of quarters. They were loud whenever the Jets had the ball and stayed that way even when the Pats were losing. Then finally the Pats scored and made it a 3 point game, if there was a roof it would have been blown off....it was the makings of a vintage Brady comeback.....let me skip to the part where I was pissed at the crowd. The Pats went down 21-11 and people started filing out and all I heard was "hey hey hey gooooodbye"....Pats fans were leaving:( Those of us who stayed were loud and the defense stopped them and once again things started to look good.....only got a FG though. The Jets scored again and it was mainly Jets fans left. I was one of the few who cheered for the Branch TD and I think some were Jets fans doing it jokingly....if you left around that time I don't blame you but I just never leave till the game is over. The worst part about everyone leaving early is that I had to watch and endure Jets fans taking over Gillette....this one will hurt for awhile.

Not that many people left early. The crowd did its job but, unfortunately, the Patriots didn't do theirs. I didn't sit down the whole damn game and neither did anyone else for as far as I could see.

Maybe not as many people left as I thought. Sorry if I made it seem like I didn't think the fans did enough because I think for the most part they were great....and nobody sat down the whole game, that's exactly what I was saying.

Thanks for the description. I always come back after a game at Gillette and read this board complaining about the crowd, but the fact is, the crowd at the game is raucous.

This always happens because Fox pipes in crowd noise and CBS doesn't.

Hello people watching on TV, you are NOT at the game!

Whenever the camera flashed to the cloud, you could see a lot of people standing. But very few yelling, clapping, or making noise.

It wasn't always deafeningly loud but it was one of the louder nights at Gillette.

They were my aunt's season tickets so I got to go for free....but it still sucks.

One more thing I wanted to point out/ask....

Did anyone notice or find it strange that when the Pats scored the final TD they set off an extreme amount of fireworks, even after the PAT. It seemed like salt in the wound to me, like those fireworks were for the Jets.

The lack of the pregame flyover was odd.
