What has happened to the playoff magic of Brady?

10-0 first 10 playoff games now a below average 4-5 in the past 9

What has happened to the franchise player in these do or die games??

It's perplexing of how good to how bad it's been once the playoffs arrive.

I think it's safe to say that we gave Brady too much of the credit during those first 10 games. And now that he's the highest paid player in the history of the NFL, it's more or less expected that he'll play to whatever unreasonable expectation we had for him, except that he can't (honestly, I'm not sure that anyone can).

He's the best QB in the NFL today, but if we thought that he could win without a superb cast of characters around him, then we were wrong. The rest of the guys aren't as good as we thought they were, neither are the coaches, and neither is Brady himself.

We really need to go back to being Defense first IMO.

Overreaction you guys. 14-5? **** that's a great playoff record regardless . I mean come on 10-0? it was only a matter of time til they dropped. We'll be okay Brady still has 4-5 more years left in his prime our defense was the youngest in the league this season and we have a draft coming up that should give us talented players. My main focus should be on Pass rushers and a vertical threat Brandon Tate not doing it for me.

Well he can play in the pro bowl now!

Brady has been off ever since the early SB years and i dont know if we will ever reach the big game again. They were perfectibility set up this year and still couldn't do it. He had a great reg season but really..who cares? This season was a waste

At the beginning of the season, many were saying the Pats were a 8-8 team, w/ no one ever saying the Pats would be better the 11-5. The lack of expereince caught up w/ us along w/ one hell of a defensive game plan by Rexie.

We need a stud speed outside d lineman, a big, bruising running back, a big and speedy WR, and a stud OL. If we can address those areas w/ the maturing youth we have, we will be a force for years to come. :rocker:

He's become Manning! Gaudy regular season stats and laying eggs in the playoffs.

he should stop texting and be friends with manning. He is becoming like him

Only 5 more one and done's and he will be up there with Manning.

Good confidence man. You really did a full 360 in a matter of a day

Giselle factor again, been down hill since the day she arrived

Brady was OK except for the INT.

BS no PI call on a Crumpler catch.
Crumpler misses a sure TD.
(Not really blaming Crumpler for loss here)

I think if there is no INT and Crumpler makes that catch, we are up 14-0 or 14-3 or 14-7, and the complexion of the game is different immensely.

That drive to open the 2nd half was crucial, we needed a touchdown to swing the momentum, gain some confidence, and obviously and most importantly to gain points. I believe this is the drive that was halted by a NO PI call on the Jets defense, and this really really hurt us. I'm not blaming the refs for the loss, but they surely didn't help.

It is a case of Brady getting too much credit when the defense was great and as the defense declined the latter part of last decade into the present, Brady has taken too much blame. The mantra "defense wins championships" is a cliche for good reason.

This Patriots team needs to solidify the lines and develop leadership to better cope and persevere during times of trouble.

That's the "curse" that will follow Brady throughout his career: he had so much success so quickly that we basically expect greatness, and consider merely good to be a letdown.

After all, this is, statistically speaking, nowhere near his worst game, even in terms of the playoffs.

The amount of help he's had has also gone way down since that 10-0 start. Peyton Manning has proved it. Elite QBs can't win alone.
