The jets obviously came in more motivated to play this time around thanks to the 45-3 loss earlier this year. In retrospect, do you wish the pats won the earlier game but kept the score more respectable like 25-3 or 30-3 rather than embarrass them like that? I think that game probably affected the pats kids in the sense that they probably thought that today was going to be easy. I mean the rookies only experienced 2 losses all year and they don't know what difficulty in the NFL is. I just think the pats had it coming to them today - the jets are a talented team and if you run up the score on them they will remember.

Considering we put in Hoyer a few minutes into the 4th what the hell did you want?

You don't take your foot off the gas in the 3rd, ever.

25-3 or 30-3 would still be a big defeat - I don't think it played that big of a factor. They lost because they somehow came out flat and didn't play with the same intensity.

There is no excuse for the pathetic performance they put on today.

Seriously, though, what were the Pats supposed to do? Remember that one of the things that everyone was b****ing about the previous season was that the Pats would either take their foot off the gas pedal, OR simply have second-half meltdowns.

I don't think the score would have motivated the JEST anymore, but I do wonder if that score 'demotivated' the younger Pats at least a little bit.
