It's obvious that the the jawing of Ryan and Cromartie have done nothing but add pressure upon a Jet's team - that despite an unlikely wildcard win off the foot of Nick Folk, finds itself back on its heels when it sets foot in Gillette Stadium.

Are they dangerous? Only in the premeditated injury department.
Expect dirty play.

I wouldn't say they would try and purposely hurt anyone. But they might test test the toughness of your receievers over the middle with some hard (clean) hits.

well especially since welker insulted rex's wife..im sure you all know eric smith has no issues with cheap shotting somebody. (like smith did to welker week 2)

Way to force the foot references in there. The Jets are one step away from a return to the AFCCG. I am sure their focused on winning the game first and foremost.

Geeze, I guess I am a hypocrite. I did it too!:D

I didn't realize Wes' fooling around regarding the 'foot' comments is now being regarded by NYJ fans as 'insulting Rex's wife.'

C'mon, the whole damn thing is freaky--yet innocently silly.

Rex put himself in position to have to deal with crap from the media and fans, by allowing it to be taped/made public in the first place.

Relax, Jet fans. No one is 'insulting' your coach's wife for God sakes.

It's funny that ALL day EVERY day everyone from the top down can cuss, insult, call people's work ethics out, whine about penalties, etc---yet as soon as some harmless words are spoken from an obviously 'good guy' (Wes) the NYJ fans start pointing, and bit#hing about 'insults' and accusations.

I guess no one was supposed to even try to say a word in even the most innocent topic, they all should've sat there on their hands and let the big bad bullies of the NYJ push them around. Get real dude, we're talking about FEET.

No one questioned anyone's work ethic/preperation, swore/cussed like a common street thug, said it was 'personal' etc. He made a joke about feet, lol.

The Jets are NOT a wounded animal. A sick, weakened thing, desperately clawing for some sort of repose from their afflictions, well perhaps.

Definitely not a wounded animal.

I would pity them, but that would require some sort of recognition of their sufferings, and a modicum of empathy from me towards their situation, which I simply do not have.

The Jets, like the Yankees, are a product of the New York sports scene, every part of which is loathsome and repulsive to anyone with more than a 3rd grade education, and an IQ above 70.

The Jets? They are loathsome creatures and should they, by some cruel twist of fate prevail this weekend, it will only be because they found a way to bribe or cheat and procure another Willy Wonka golden ticket to the AFCCG.

I hate and detest all things New York, but more especially the JETS, and were a comet or massive asteroid strike the earth, with it's epicenter at New York City, though it destroyed the planet I would go to my death satisfied that those cretins in green or pinstripes were the first to feel nature's wrath.

He was just answering questions. Saying you'll put your best foot forward... That's a pretty common expression.

Is "being a good footsoldier" a common expression?

Or complimenting other football players 3 times within a minute or so for their "great feet"?

Or describing not being able to play when injured as "siiting there with your foot in the air"?

I don't think he insulted Ryan's wife specifically, but many of the remarks were too forced to be an accident

look he could of called rex ryan a big fat ******* moron, and i wouldnt care.

yes rex and his wife put the tapes out there, but where i come from atleast... you dont insult peoples wives, or poke any sort of zinger toward them.

What's wrong with telling quick wide receivers and cornerbacks they have great feet? I think it's sort of a nice compliment.

And doctors recommend you keep your foot in the air when you have a leg injury. It keeps the blood from settling there and prevents swelling.

By the way, what does any of this stuff have to do with Rex's wife anyway? I don't even know her name and i doubt Welker does. Is this another jet fan pre game obsession?

That's not very nice. Many people overeat due to emotional problems and stress. You should try being more caring. You might be surprised how much better it makes you feel.

A wounded animal? Yeah, I might believe it.

You're not from New York or New Jersey I take it. They insult Brady's wife all the time.

Still, it's Rex with the foot fetish, isn't it?

Jeez buddy, you guys are being a little sensitive, no?

If this is all they said all week and it actually 'offended' anyone, that's pathetic.

Kind of seems like a bit of a double-standard. All week long the jets run their mouths about just about every single imaginable topic, and finally late week, someone says something back (basically encoded, at the worst it was a subtle 'shot' ) about the subject known as 'footgate' (lol). You had to have imagined other teams' fans and media persons talking some smack about the whole foot issue when the story broke a month ago. If you don't admit that, you aren't being honest.

I thought New Yorkers were supposed to be a little more thick skinned than that.

Your team chose to start a bunch of smack talk, and one tiny little innocent comment is now insulting another man's wife? Wes is a prankster, he chose to innocently and very subtly take a shot at the easiest of so-called 'stories.'

At least try to have a fair point of view if you're gonna go on another fanbase's messageboard. Best of luck to you and your team.

alot of new yorkers are 'thick skinned' but when people get involved with others family's we tend to freak the **** out.

look it isnt a big deal. i dont have a HUGE problem with it. i just find it a little distasteful. rex and his wife let this crap happen to them, but i feel bad for his fam. his son probably get tore apart at school for this ****, and now a great nfl player is poking fun.

but again hey it isnt really that big of a deal.

I imagine cheeseburgers in and around the Jets complex are at a premium.

Let's not be mean, Jets fans are obviously sensitive. They're going through old press conferences looking for coded references to something as it is.

Hopefully they drop this obsession and try to build on their franchise record three winning years to gain confidence.

Baby steps...

Oh, did I just insult somebody's wife? I don't even know.
