Nixon.........
BZZZZZZZZZZZT!

I'm sorry, my friend, the correct answer is even sadder than that. It is A) Lyndon Johnson.

Super Bowl III: January 12, 1969
LBJ in office: November 22, 1963 – January 20, 1969

But we do have some consolation prizes:

yeah, but in Jet fans' minds they have won many SBs...too bad they were all of the regular season variety.

Dumb fans, dumb coaches, dumb players...yuck..

Hi Hater!

Bye Hater!
I don't mind the hating and I don't mind the insults, but for the love of all that is sacred on the gridiron, be original!

They can love me, they can hate me but please just don't bore me! :D

Well, I like your thread. And I think the answer is LBJ off the top of my head.

What do we win if we get it right? The chance to watch that scumbag organization get b!tchslapped up and down Foxboro Sunday? That prize rules!

Alright, let's try a new question.

The Jets have now gone three straight years with winning records, going 9-7, 9-7 again, and now 11-5.

How many more winning seasons will the Jets need to set their team franchise record for most consecutive winning season?

I want something like this, but with duckboats and green-jerseyed captives :D

This is a trick question, isn't it? Aren't they already at their franchise record?

What Patriots coach was the offensive coordinator for Joe Namath and how was he almost killed at his first press conference?

BINGO, BINGO, We Have A Winner !!!!

Yes, the Jets have set (okay, tied) a franchise record with three, that's THREE consecutive winning seasons.

A round of applause and hearty congratulations to the Jets for their achievement.

Now let's go have a ******* snack!

True or False:

The winningest coach in Jets history lost more games with the Jets than he won, and had more losing season than winning season with the team?

Want me to blow your mind, Wolfy?

A television series also made it's premier in that same year. A show about Family. A show about outsiders joining a team of others and working toward a common goal. A show where one member can lose a voice, but the group can find a song. A show about sacrifice for the greater good. A show where the newest member was just as important as the oldest. A show where outsiders fit in, and were treated like family....

That show was called The Brady Bunch

It is not a coincidence.

What 8 year Jets receiver is the father of a recent Patriots receiver who stepped in just when we needed him?

1983 was known as the year of the quarterback, with six picked in the 1st round.

Elway was #1, Marino #27. The Patriots and Jets both picked QBs in that round. I want both, please.:D

I just figured it out but I'm not going to give it away since I cheated by looking it up.

That's some great trivia, I never knew that.

Just happened to remember the name when junior came along. He was a good, consistent receiver. Yeah, no look ups, takes the fun out of it.

Namath made the guarantee, but in a low scoring game, the fullback was the star.

1. Name the 69 Super Bowl power back

2. and for extra credit, his backfield partner and long time backup, star, FB and receiver for the Jets, who blocked a lot that day.

clue: (2) Was he a teetotaller?

I looked it up because I didn't know, but in my defense, it was my second guess. :D

Heh.

Eason...
Conceded defeat on what Tv Program, before the SB?
We are Just happy to be here...

Not looking it up, Jet QB won't come to my mind...

Return of Woody.

Opposite, unequal Woody
Damien (name of evil character from some bad movie)
Ex-Pat who succumbed to evil Empire (state) dark side.
Playing for Oedipus Rex, hurts his Achillies heel.

“This guy was in football because of the New York Jets.”
And the New York Jets are soon to be out of football because of Danny Woodhead.

UGG! Sanchez gets special cold-weather helmet
3:14 PM, December 18, 2009 ASSOCIATED PRESS

Mark Sanchez will wear a special cold-weather helmet to play his first career game in temperatures under 40 degrees.

“We put some of the UGG boot stuff in his helmet, so he’s going to be warmer,” Rex Ryan said, referring to the wool-lined footwear. “I’m not kidding. Look at his helmet. He’s got some of that in there. We try to make sure our guys are comfortable and healthy and protected.”

"I am excited to play. I know there are going to be many more (games in the snow), so I plan to get used to it," Sanchez said.
