Cowher is a sharp guy, but I'm not sure the Giant was sleeping before all this. ;)

LOL! Great F'ing quote! But you are right, BB is not sleeping.

Rex already did when he took at shot Tom Brady last week when it came to game preparation. Watch for Brady to post a near perfect quarterback rating against the NY Jets this Sunday.

if i recall plaxico said something that brady took offense to, and it didn't come back to burn the giants in the sb

but this is different for NE, as the only team to even beat them at home in the playoffs, wasn't the jets

anyway, rex does that stuff to take the spotlight off his players and put it on himself

it's worked fairly well so far for him

it used to be alot stupider to feed NE bulletin board material, but that was in the sb days

Ummm . . . given that this team is performing at levels similar to the first half of 2007, if I were going to play them, I wouldn't poke the bear. :)

Concealed within his office, the lord of Football sees all. His gaze pierces cloud, shadow, gameplan, and Rex's flabby flesh. You know of what I speak, Wax Frog: a great Eye, lidless, wreathed in flame.

Three Rings, Bill bears Them all

One Game to settle All;

personally i don't think it's a good idea to poke any team, because it's senseless

but with rex he obviously does it to take all spotlight off his players

i think that's worked out for them

It's not always senseless. These are tactics of distraction. If you can get a team distracted with what you said so they lose focus on the task at hand it can actually help you.

I don't think Bill and Tom really pay attention to or care what gets said in the press. If your are a pro you don't try harder because of what someone said and you don't really pay attention to it either leading up to a game. You might think about it for a second but you are too focused on what you need to do on the field to care what someone said leading up to the game.

it's a big risk though IMO that fails more often than it works

that's one reason i say it's senseless, the other reason is because it has no honor in it

Maybe Rex feels this is his only chance.

Yeah, that worked great before the 45-3 game.

Except the dumbazz players of NYJ do not understand what he is doing, the Rexy Method is intended to hide the weaknesses of the Jets..

Uh guys, the whole Sauron thing might be a bad idea... you know, that part at the end of the movie and all?

Eh well. With luck the fall of Mordor will happen at the pace of the books, not the comparative sprint of the movies.

Not when idiots like Ellis and Cromartie put the spotlight back on the players. They are reflections of their coach, and he's a boorish, loud-mouthed jerk-off.

It won't end the same way... they cut their hobbit and he's on our side now!

"One does not simply walk into the endzone!"
"Um, yeah, sometimes Woodhead does..."
