I think what was meant by that is that based on the way the questions lead, they didn't get the answer they expected.

Usually when ESPN sets up a web poll, the question is at least somewhat debatable, or else it is a waste of time.

Do you really think they would have set up that poll if they knew it would be so one-sided?

On top of that, it's clear that ESPN and any other media house worth a **** will always prefer a coach that provides content, because that's what drives traffic. Belichick fans may know that he provides plenty of content when asked the right questions, but that's not the content a place like ESPN is looking for.

I think you're right. They use the word "candor" to describe Ryan, which has a positive connotation. They use the word "blandness" to describe Belichick, which has a negative connotation.

The rest of the world outside of the U.S. is overwhelmingly for Belichick's style as well. The only time that I ever hated his style with a passion is the day that Brady's season-ending injury occurred. I wanted to know, and know quickly, whether he was done for the season or not.

I doubt that. But I suspect most Giants fans choose their former SB winning defensive coordinator over their loudmouth obnoxious stadiummate. And there is a lot more Giants fans than Jets fans in NJ and NY.

Pujo, the wording of the poll makes ESPN's editorial point quite clear. Glancing at the other posts answering your question, it's obvious everyone got the inference.

And the ESPN folks posing the poll got hit with a comeuppance - - no matter the geographical location.
