These things sometimes come in bunches, kind of like a hitter in baseball going into a slump. Once the balls stop dropping in for hits, they start to grip a little tighter, overswing a little, and other subconscious habits that just make the problem worse. We'll see if that fumble (especially since it was the first Pats turnover in what... 8 games?) gets in his head and effects how he runs. My guess is no, but we'll find out.

I think a better solution is, oh I don't know, not running your 5'7 RB up the gut for short yardage.
