8:30 PM EST on ESPN. The #1 ranked Auburn Tigers take on the #2 ranked Oregon Ducks. Both teams bring a lot of offense into the match-up with Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton leading the Auburn attack and LaMichael James powering the Oregon running game. Personally, I think that Auburn is going to take this one. Newton should be able to run and move the ball at will against an otherwise weaker Oregon defense. Defensively, Auburn has the speed and size to present Oregon with significant match-up problems that they haven't seen out of the Pac-10 this season. There are also a few faces to watch (for draft purposes) on both sides of the ball.

As a Gator fan, I'm pulling for Auburn. Bring the SEC another national title.

The only NCAA game I really watch all season, don't give a **** about all the other (exhibition) bowl games and don't have a favorite team to root for during the season. These can usually be pretty entertaining though.

I never got this thinking, why would you want a rival in your own conference winning a title and thus helping them recruit?

Will this actually be a good game? First college game I'm watching this year. Last few BCS championship games that were suppose to be awesome ended up like 35-7 lol. USC-Texas was a great game though a few years back with Vince Young.

Roll Tide.

Yeah, that was last year. Go Ducks, end this season with a legit champion, we don't want another Reggie Bush.

Roll Ducks Roll.

I do, just to further show how big of a joke the whole NCAA system is and to punish them for allowing Cam Newton to play in this game.

Yea and reggie made 9 mill this year doing what woodhead and faulk do for like 1-2 mil

I hate to see it for college football - but don't get me wrong, the truth does need to come out I just want it to be for the second place team.

The stadium is already rocking, an hour before kickoff.

Almost every Pac-10 fan I know is pulling for the Ducks (I am partial to Arizona and Stanford, as a BU alum I've got no team of my own ). But I think its a lot easier for Pac fans since our conference is routinely overlooked nationally. And even those jaded jerks at U$C must be hating Auburn over this Cam Newton thing.

If it's a team that I legitimately hate, I won't root for them. I hate Alabama and Nick Saban, so I couldn't root for them last year. The same would be true of Georgia or Tennessee got into the big game. But, for a team like Auburn, I can pull for them to bring a title to the SEC. Fact is, Auburn doesn't need the help recruiting as it is and a national title to an SEC team helps ALL of the SEC teams recruit, not just the team that actually won it.

Boosts perception of SEC.

Who's getting the nod when it's time to invite a team to the BCSNCG: 1 loss B12 team, 1 loss Pac-10 team, or the 1 loss SEC team?

'08 is waving.

Some possible New England draft prospects to watch in this game...

1. Auburn:
-Nick Fairley; DT; 6'5" 314 lbs.
-Mario Fanin; RB; 5'11" 227 lbs.
-Ryan Pugh; C; 6'4" 293 lbs.
-Terrell Zachery; WR; 6'1" 211 lbs.

2. Oregon:
-Jeff Maehl; WR; 6'1" 184 lbs.
-Brandon Bair; DT; 6'7" 272 lbs. (would need to add some serious weight)
-Jordan Holmes; C; 6'4" 295 lbs.

my in laws are both Auburn grads and my neice is a freshman and plays trombone in the marching band, so... WAR EAGLE! Go Auburn

And as I'm a 'Bama fan (while St. Nick) is there, there is no way I'd root for the barn. Roll Tide. And Ducks.
