I know they're in the NFC and they have to win their remaining games to potentially meet us (if we win out), but still. If anything, I see so many similarities between them and the 2007 Giants, with the one exception being that Aaron Rodgers is not a fraud QB. I was hoping that the Eagles would somehow eliminate them tonight much like the Jests got the Colts out of our hair. Add to the fact that they lost to us by only 5 or so points with Matt F'n Flynn starting! Their defense is playing at a high level and Rodgers scares the **** out of me. If this topic is a bit premature, I apologize. But I just needed to get this off my chest. Someone please talk me off the ledge or give me the verbal slap in the face!!

I'm not even thinking about the NFC right now, to be honest.

Didn't the Patriots beat those same Packers? Green Bay barely squeaked by with a win over the Eagles. I'll start to take them seriously if they can beat Atlanta in Atlanta.

if anything 2007 has taught us, the only team to be worried about is the jets now.

Pats haven't lost back to back games with the same opponent since 2001 I believe and they took that game as a loss. BB won't let that happen twice.

I understand that I should be focused more on the AFC side (specifically the Jests this week) and I am, but ever since that horrorshow in Glendale two years ago, I remember how I paid ABSOLUTELY no notice to the Giants as they went through the playoffs. Cripe, I was rooting for them in the God damn NFC title game because I thought Favre would have been more of a threat! Now because of that year, I just have this "looking over my shoulder feeling" with them. Hindsight...ugh.:(

that was without Aaron Rodgers, so there might be some reason for concern if we do get that far. however, ur right in that they barely beat the eagles...and they have to go on the road to atlanta and then probably chicago.

Boy, I sure hope you're right about us perceiving that as a loss...

You're nervous about the packers?

WHAT ABOUT THE JETS!!!

tbh, im not that worried about the packers. Keep in mind that in our last game against them, we were off the field for so long, yet we still put points on the board (yes i know about that defensive int turned TD).

If the Oline holds up and does not pull a 2007 (lord forbid), brady should tear them apart. However, i think it would be in the teams best interest if brady avoids throwing to woodson (who i believe basically shut down welker?)

If greenbay somehow creams atlanta iN atlanta, then i might be worried, heh
:(

I understand. But to win a Super Bowl, you have to beat good teams. It's the biggest prize available in this league, what every team sets out for, and something few franchises have ever won. There is no easy road there. You can get lucky for a game or two, but to be the best, you end up having to beat the best.

Unless you're Peyton Manning and get carried by your defense while you stink the joint up...

lets worry about the jets first.. then probably the ravens...

to be quite honest, NFC teams dont worry me that much right now. i JUST want to cream the JETS so we can shut rex ryans fat mouth up and then pounce on the ravens (im not afraid of them). Suggs needs to die.

i completely agree. Obviously a patriots superbowl trophy, regardless of who they play would be ideal. But how amazing of a run would it be if they take down the jests, ravens and then green bay (Assuming they are the best in the NFC). Thats quite a gauntlet to run! Would solidify this team as one of the greats imo.

ONE GAME AT A TIME! Don't jinx this magical season.:D

Chances are packers won't change they're game plan with the success they had
even with flynn at QB. BB will make adjustments and trip the pack up. Same situation we have to avoid this week.

Teams need to be nervous about playing the Patriots.

I'm confident the Pats will take care of business against the Jets, but there is that fear in the back of my mind. The air of invincibility I felt in the past is permanently damaged after 2007.

2007 was an anomaly. Forget about it, its the past.

The patriots underestimated the giants and that showed in the beginning of the game.

Belichick will make sure the team is ready to go

Even if it's a different QB, I think Belichick is always much better at preparing a game plan the second time he faces a team. Granted every coach in the league is probably the same in this regard, but I think Belichick is better than any other coach in the league at catering game plans.

Madden predicted Pats over Packers in the Super Bowl, with Brady leading come from behind score in the 4th.
