Points out the 2 teams spent a week together in camp. Says it will be a "heck of a chess match" between Sean Payton and Bill Bellichick as to who will win. Says the NE offense shuttles players in and out of the lineup like New Orleans does.

I'm pretty sure he picked the Patriots to lose vs. the Steelers, Colts, Jets, and Bears, so what is he trying to pull off? A reverse hex or something?

Well he's wrong once again...its going to be pats and falcons durrr :rocker:

d%#*!@t. I like it better when he picks against them.

That's what it sounded like when I watched "The Road to Dallas" last night. It's either he's going for the reverse hex, or his producers told him that he was being an insufferable douche when it came to the Pats and to tone it down a bit. Reading a thread on the Colts forum today, they were even mentioning Faulk's obvious bias toward anything Patriots...

Dear Marshall Faulk,

Please give me back possession of my mind, body, and soul.

Sincerely,

The Real Marshall Faulk

Would be a great match up, but the Saints have a tough rough road with seeding and injuries. We'll see what happens.

The stupidity of Colts fans often manages to rival that of the Raiders fans, and even Jets supporters. It's comforting to know that blind stupidity is rampant in the heartland as well as on the Coasts.

Are you talking about the thread that I posted itself (what Faulk said about Brady and Colts fans agreeing with him) or the notion that Faulk is generally negative when it comes to the Pats?

Generally, I don't subscribe to the conspiracy theories about 96.5% of the media having a hard-on for the Pats, but with Faulk I think it's kind of obvious that he has some sort of bias against the team.

I don't know why that Pats fan is arguing with the Colts fan over who is a better QB. Ne says Tb Colts say PM, that isn't going to change, why waste time arguing? Some of the dumbest stuff i've ever read in that thread.

I really can't see the saints going to the super bowl unless the eagles beat the packers. Saints won't beat the bears in chicago.

He'll probably pick against us next week :D

Hopefully. The games he does are blowouts for us alot of the time.

You can't honestly pick against the Pats with the except of maybe the Raven because of last year. But even then, both teams have changed alot. The Patriots have the best record, #8 scoring D only allowed 7 or fewer points in the past 5 games, most turnovers and the #1 scoring offense that set the NFL record for fewest turnovers.

Not everything is perfect with the team but nobody else has been nearly impressive this season and we've beaten 6 of the 11 playoff teams in head to head matches this season.

A Patriots v Saints Super Bowl would be pretty cool. I like like both teams a lot, but I'd have to root for NE. Brady needs to get five rings so there is little debate about GOAT.

With one more ring, I can make a pretty strong argument that Brady is the G.O.A.T. hands down, and I'm sure most on here could.

Didn't Montana play with some guy NFLN called The Greatest Player in NFL History?

No, it was a general statement, albeit inspired by some of the posts on that thread.

I agree with you about a fourth ring. I'm just being greedy so it's not even a debate. ;)

But good point about Montana. If Andre Johnson ever bolts from the Texans, I'm secretly hoping he ends up in NE. That would be an epic partnership.

I didn't bother going through more than the first two pages of that thread, but I'm amazed at their rewriting of history.

The Colts did indeed have a losing season before Manning arrived, going 3-13 in Harbaugh's last year as quarterback. But these folks make it sound like they had a losing streak on par with what the Lions have had for the last decade, and Manning single-handedly reversed that trend. In reality prior to that 1997 3-13 season with an injured Harbaugh, the Colts had back-to-back playoff seasons and had not had a losing season since their last Jeff George season in 1993.

On top of that when Manning arrived they had a 25-year old Marshall Faulk and a 26-year old Marvin Harrison to compliment him. On top of that the Colts went 3-13 again in Manning's first year, as he threw 28 interceptions. In addition to not single-handedly turning the team around, he did not immediately turn them around like some Colt fans are claiming.

It's ironic that the reasons they give to try to make Manning look better than Brady - that the team got better right away on his arrival - actually work more in Brady's favor in the never-ending Brady vs. Manning debate. At the very least that's really grasping at straws if you're trying to say Manning is better than Brady because pre-Manning the Colts were 3-13 in comparison to pre-Brady the Patriots were 5-11.

If we are going to dream on WRs, I wouldn't mind rescuing Larry Fitzgerald from QB hell in Arizona

For clarification I think you need only to look were Marshal was born.

Place of birth: New Orleans, Louisiana

He was one of the only correspondents picking us last season, so I think this is more of a wish/homer, than an educated guess. I doubt this has to do with any hate for the Patriots or he would have picked a different team to face us in the super bowl.

Dufflebagz- You can't honestly pick against the Pats with the except of maybe the Raven because of last year.

Really not sure why that would occure, you would think a responsible corespondent that did their homework would not, based on stats and facts. But then explain why anyone is picking the Seahawks over the Saints? Makes little sense, but they do it.

Double Barrel - With one more ring, I can make a pretty strong argument that Brady is the G.O.A.T. hands down

Yep, one more ring and Brady trumps Montana. The rings are equal, but Brady has more records. The debate would be over. The SF fans know this , and they more than any fan base, do not want you to win a SB. Ive talk to a number of them.
