I just rewatched the Patriots demolish the Jests, and at the end Brady had a great quote during the interview, which he attributed to Belichick (and likely a veiled dig at Rex Ryan and the Jests):

"When you win, say little, when you lose, say even less."

What is your favorite wisdom nugget or one liner from Belichick?

It is what it is.

This is a classic.

But I am also fond of "we played well in all three phases of the game." I get a kick out of saying it with him.

I use "It is what it is" ALL the time.

Note that this is not an original Belichick quote - he took it from Paul Brown, a man that he admires greatly (see the fedora he wore this year).

I love BB as a head coach. He is the greatest of all time in my book.
But when I watch his press conferences or interviews, its one platitude after another, each one more vanilla than the one before. (although, on EEI he is a bit better.) But to pick a favorite one...they are all bland to me. Not that I am complaining!

GFY Tom Jackson

If you watched the best of Sound FX on the NFLN, you might have caught this tid bit as he was walking around the practice field talking to his son, "It will be pretty cool one day when NFL Films puts this all together".

What the team HAS and currently IS doing, is not lost on him. Not sure when it was taken, prob mid 2000's, maybe 2007.

If you are doing an interview with him, ask him what he meant by that - And you know who I'm talking too...yes you. Ask him! ;)

I loved it when he said, "the safety play at that position was pretty inviting". Still cracks me up.

"All he does is talk. He's terrible, and you can print that. I was happy when he was in the game."

Q: Do you have any thoughts on the new overtime rules?

BB: Whatever the rules are, we [will] have to play with [them].

That's a derivative of "it is what it is". They are what they are.

Drew, my fingers were crossed...
